We know Still hasn’t got too many options up front but this setup does not seem like it plays to our strengths. Scienza seems to have put his toblerone boots on this half. Reckon he’ll get hooked soon.

Second half has gone down a good degree.

We’re not too far away from the Will Still substitute shuffle.

Scuffy Armstrong again ffs.

Wood stays solid 😎

A bit of a half of two halves that. First 20-25 was somewhat laboured, slow, ponderous. Second half was some of the best stuff seen under Still. Quite how we haven’t stuck one in is a mystery. Not a fan of 3 at the back but the formation hasn’t been the problem so far. Scienza absolutely all over them, he’s looked a real threat in every game so far. Their full back looks terrified of him. Promising stuff, but the fact we can’t get a goal despite such dominance is a bit of a worry.

Just can’t get the ball in the goal. Solid header from wood but straight at the keeper.
-
Armstrong, how has not got anything on that?
-
Omg, class from Scienza.

Fuck me Archer.

This is quite a frustrating watch so far.

Not sure we’ve got too many of them.

Crock Ness Drogba confirmed as properly crocked. Some tools set to replace him.

Yet again you come out with a simplistic phrase, “the likely suspects” this time, but nothing specific. It’s genuinely weird that you’re trying to identify a bunch of people you want to argue against but won’t provide specifics of who they actually are. If you’re trying to align yourself alongside drunk John then good for you, but at least try and outline exact who and what you’re arguing against, as you and him are clearly terrible at doing it.

As egg asked…..who? Rather than doing your thing of randomly generalising, who in particular are you referring to?

I love it how you have to polarise opinions to the nth degree just to try and make your point. It’s really quite a childish trait yet you just can’t stop doing it. There are so many different, diverse opinions on here yet you have to make silly statements like “this place is to go into meltdown” as if it’s a single hive mind. Whereas in fact most people will just be thankful when the war finally stops, however it happens.

Most people understand that, some don’t. And tbf that post contained the line “If British police cannot guarantee the safety of Jewish and Israeli fans at a football match, what does that say about the state of policing and public order in this country?”, so I don’t think that particular accusation is valid in this instance, whatever the overall sentiment.

I feel so foolish. I assumed an intellectual colossus would only make one mistake in a short riposte. How wrong I was. Lesson learnt.

Nic very much reminds me of a chap who used to post on the UI. Let’s call him “Dave”, for arguments sake. Dave was a clearly disturbed chap but used to get his kicks from having e-feuds on the internet every day. This would lead to Dave getting himself b-anned every now and again, but he’d show up soon after with a new login and just carry on with the same old nonsense. What makes him and Nic so similar is that they are both quite clearly not the brightest star in the sky, but they had a bizarre ambition of starting row after row and then crowing about how “right” they were, how they “won” every argument they entered. It’s a bizarrely sad life but the parallels between them are stark. Bangers and Nic, 2 peas from the same pod.

Too. Not ‘to’. Gotcha, little one.

Very true. And besides, fans will always have a bit more patience with a home grown lad who has come through the academy rather than a dud who cost millions from Germany.

I always remember, I played in a charity golf day shortly after Dave Jones was appointed / Paul Jones was signed and MLT did a brief Q&A session. He was asked about the keeper situation and he said the players were all very surprised about the news as they all thought they already had a very good goalkeeper.

Reach for the stars.

We’re saying the same thing anyway. He wasn’t going to get a chance here, but looks like he’s hit the ground running. Which is brilliant given that, at only 20, he’s already a year behind given his horrendous injury. All Saints fans will wish him well and watch his progress with interest I’m sure. Good luck to him, just sorry we couldnt give him the avenue he needed.
