  1. I usually park in Eastgate MSCP, pretty secure and not expensive, not a bad walk to the ground and near the shops/restaurants for sticking around after. However I don't mind a walk and the last couple of times I've parked in Bedford Place and Ordnance Road which made more sense as I come in down the Avenue and had a nice drop of beer in the London Road Brew house pre-match. Long gone are the days of Lime Street and pre-match pints in the Oak...
  2. It's one of those situations where you crave a really shit team in the Carabao 2nd round (Pompey) to give the youngsters an easy run out, then we get someone like (thinking of who isn't in a European competition) Newcastle or Villa, who may think they're in with a shot of winning it this season.
  3. Men... over to you in the World Cup.
  4. Hemp subbed. She's worked her bollocks off.
  5. Missed the goal. Picked the wrong time to go for a poo.
  6. Arse. Come on Russo!
  7. I was joking with my missus in the first England game that she looked pleased every time she caught the ball but she has had a great few games recently.
  8. Great finish!
  9. Starting to lose a bit of discipline both sides. Germany are playing dirty.
  10. I'm so pleased we signed a 10 in Aribo, we've been crying out for a new AM for ages relying on Redmond, Moi, Djenepo etc but I still want another. Aribo and Armstrong in AM sounds good with Moi backing them up but if we're going to ship out Redmond and and Djenepo seems to be better at LWB then I'd like to see another.... unless someone like Edwards is ready to make the step up. Cornet for his release clause of £17 million still sounds like a bargain. We obviously need another striker and a first choice one at that. Finally another full back. Or a CB that can play full back (Colwill).
  11. We were linked with Junior Adamu of Salzburg earlier in the summer. Austrian International, 21, skilled according to the 'trustworthy' YouTube videos. I guess it depends on what happens with Sesko who is linked heavily with United.
  12. Russo for White at half time please! Germany looked better so far but we've had chances.
  13. Pretty accurate for what I think Ralph will go for. Not enough in attack there goals-wise but i suppose if we can try to get "nil" then we have a chance of finding the odd goal for a win. I just think Spuds will be too strong and dirty. Getting it right against Leeds will be more important.
  14. I think we may lose overall but I'd like to see some positive signs. Bodies on the line, neat passing, hard working that sort of thing. Something to build on for the future. Attack still needs some work it seems. Spurs 3 Saints 1.
  15. I was reading the Foxes forum, it doesn't look like they're short of cash, the owner is still rich but they have to abide by FFP. The chaff they've bought in the last few windows (mainly from us!) Is costing them. Hopefully Chelsea sign Fofana then they can come for Bednarek. 😁 German barber... the shop name Herr Hair writes itself. He is supposedly willing to take a half pay cut so I read somewhere. Still out of our budget but not far. Not that I believe for a second he's a target, just reiterating what I saw. I'd take any full back right now, but a loan over a permanent makes sense for a right back... however if we brought a left back (doubtful) I'd rather it was permanent. (I'm aware that Colwill can play left back comfortably should that ever happen.)
  16. I hope Broja joins another Premier League team soon, he won't get much game time at Chelsea and I have him in my fantasy team. 👲
  17. Diamond Edwards looks quick. Centre of everything in attack. Would be interested to see him in a cup game or maybe brought off the bench in a league fixture if we need a spark.
  18. I know the season is starting earlier this year but it does seem like a few clubs have been dilly dallying in the transfer window and have been caught by surprise. Leicester especially, they can't rely on Vardy forever. For us, however our youngsters turn out, we really got our teeth stuck in to the window early this summer. Yes there's a month to go but that's a good few fixtures that new signings for clubs will miss as they get up to speed.
  19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62328723 Kounde to Barcelona. Chelsea miss out on a CB they wanted. #colwillwatch
  20. From reading about the game on here, I deduce the following: Valery had a MOTM performance but was also crap and had to rectify his own mistakes, Adam Armstrong was rubbish but also scored a good goal and could be the answer to our goalscoring problems this season, Our first half performance was both very good and rubbish And Levi Colwill is definitely joining us because he posted a picture of himself at St Marys but isn't because he posted a picture of himself at St Mary's. Got it. 👍😀
  21. I’d take that with bells on. Then keep improving the squad.
  22. As things stand with transfers as they are: Man City Liverpool Tottenham Chelsea Arsenal United Newcastle West Ham Aston Villa Leicester Forest Palace Wolves Brentford Brighton Saints (as our squad stands) Everton Leeds Fulham Bournemouth ...but there is still a lot of the transfer window to go. Champions - City (they have Haaland now) FA Cup - City (they'll win most things next season) League Cup - Spurs (after City play a weakened side and get knocked out to someone.) Saints? (As it stands with the squad as it is) - Tough start because we play the more experienced players over the youth for the majority of early games, but then we decide it couldn't hurt to try them and ABK, Lavia and Bazunu prove to be brilliant. Form dips and we are briefly in a relegation battle but we strengthen in the January window and do enough to finish a fairly comfortable 16th. Golden Boot winner? Haaland. Saints top scorer? Adams with 9, but goals are shared out. Saints best buy? Bazunu. Saints most improved existing player? Weirdly I think we will see AArmstrong in amongst the goals more this season. He gets a bit of confidence and goes on a run. Will Ralph last the season? No but he'll be given longer than people think. I'm pleased we've spent some money and Dortmund have proved that if you're good enough, you're old enough so I just hope our model of signing talented youngsters doesn't hurt us this season. I still think we could be in a relegation battle because the teams in the league are stronger than recent years IMO but hopefully we have enough to get out of it...and keep JWP. Happy to wear egg on my face if the youngsters prove to be brilliant. (It's weird hearing myself be so negative as I'm usually cup half full, it's just what I feel right now. Another good striker, 10 and full back signing and I'll be happier!)
  23. With Diamond Edwards scoring today and recently featuring in friendlies for the senior side, he must rank quite high in Ralph's thinking for first team football soon.
  24. Ooh keeper's fucked that.
  25. Cracking goals from Mead and Russo. Interesting finally ahead. Would be nice to win the tournament and give the men something to think about going into the World Cup.
