If we are going to persist with playing AA then personally I'd play him there - he could do no worse than anyone else and it would free up the right spot for Fraser, SAA or Edozie - someone who would be more effective there.

The League so far Top 2 - - - - - - Everyone else - - - - Bottom 3. Fair play to Ipswich, they don't seem to be slowing down. Ultimately it is an 19 way fight for play-off positions right now which is madness.

Now the dust has settled - when we went 2-1 down I couldn't see us getting back into it so I would have taken a draw. We were pretty crap tonight, too many passengers and not enough quality. Booked too now. I know he's the current academy poster boy but I'd choose Downes, Charles, Stu, and Alcaraz before I picked Smallbone. Obviously a Martin favourite. I know he's scored a couple of goals recently but that's no more than the others should be doing given a chance. Passing is decent but that's not quite enough for me. I still hope he can come good though but he's nearly 24, not a youngster.

I don't mind Smallbone but he doesn't exactly bust a gut to run after someone does he...
