8 out of 10 and one of our better windows in years. It had to be, we were one bad window away from going down. Thank you Sports Republic. Biggest surprise? The sheer number of signings but very needed. Money spent without a big sale is another. Fave transfer? Aribo, I like him and I think he’ll have a lot to offer. Which player will do best long term? ABK has already shown he’s going to be a top, top CB for years but Lavia will run him close. I’d love it if Mara made it too. Cleverest transfer? AMN because he’s versatile and can help us out in a number of positions. Which position have we strengthened the best? CM is close but the signings of ABK and DCC have given us our best complement of CBs in years. Ultimately even if we haven’t quite done enough in attack, we’ve strengthened our defence and midfield so tight games can be swung by the odd goal. I still think we will be in the lower half of the table but we’ve given ourselves a good platform for the future.

I wonder how true the Ross Barkley links were today. Could still yet bring him in to bolster AM...

3 good CBS now and Lyanco as back up. I’m a bit uncomfortable we don’t have a 5th choice or even someone that could drop in there (unless Lavia can) but it definitely seems we’ve improved the CB quality short of a bad injury crisis. Welcome Duje.

That’ll be that then. A very good window, one of our best ever and extremely needed just to keep up. A GK, 2 CB’s, a LB, 2 CMs, 2 AMs and a striker (and Lis!) Also some deadwood shifted out. Probably we needed an extra striker or AM and a shame the Gakpo deal failed but it has to be an 8/10 window for me. As someone said earlier, only 13 games and then the window opens again so it’s nice to know we’ll have money to spend then if needed.

I’m staying up for the Duje signing then going to bed… i think that’ll be it. An extra player would be a nice surprise but it’s probably just too late.

Strengthens CM and RB mainly. Hopefully a good signing. Should go straight in if Lavia is out against Wolves.

I know some people don’t rate him but I wouldn’t be averse to Redmond staying as back up. However he’s been completely overlooked this season so it looks as if his days are numbered anyway. Good news if Dibling is back. Maybe he saw the pathway to our attacking areas are better than theirs, which is something most of us could have told him in the first place. Starting to get antsy for an announcement of our signings now. AMN particularly is important that it goes through due to versatility as well as C-C otherwise we’ll have 3 CBS.

4 CBS is fine as long as there isn’t a big injury crisis. I prefer some kind of a fifth option. Right now that’s Lancashire unless Lavia is able to adapt. I definitely hope ABK and Salisu stay fit though and it does look like we’ve ditched the 3 CBS option.

Until there's concrete signing proof I will always worry something will happen to make a transfer collapse. "AMN has failed to agree terms with Southampton because he wants a swimming pool and Saints could only get him a kids paddling pool..." or something.

I always liked Jack, remember this is the last of the League One players that had to make the step up and he did so without moaning and to semi-success. He's never moaned about being 4th choice and it's not his fault he's not equipped to play at this level, he just found himself at a club that kept getting promoted. Passionate just not quite good enough. Remember when him and Yoshida were our partnership after we panic signed Caceres after selling Fonte with no replacement.... I assume he'll get a testimonial when he does leave?

Disagree. Great player back in his day but that was long ago. Been poor for ages. May have the odd flash of his old self but I can't see him doing much.

Maybe not but there’d be a great difference between Valery-Bednarek-Salisu that we played against Spurs and ABK-Caleta-Car-Salisu

So are we doing a sweepstake for which transfer the club announces first? Or do we think they'll wait until everyone has signed and do a group photo? 😁

Not sure but I'm pretty sure we've only won 3 league games in a row once since the tail end of the Koeman last season when he did it. We often come close but game 3 is drawn. I don't think we've won 4 in a row for a very long time.
