  1. If he goes to Barcelona, as long as the price is right and he doesn't make a fuss of it, he goes with my blessing. I'd much rather he tried his hand abroad rather than stayed and played for one of our rivals in the Prem.

    Best First XI

Just a little thread to take our minds off the defeat... With the injured and suspended players coming back, what is our current best XI if everyone is fit? For me, it would be Pochettino's 4-2-3-1 formation... Forster Clyne Fonte Alderweireld Bertrand Morgan Wanyama Elia Mane Rodriguez Pelle ...but there are quite a few attacking line ups we could field. Additionally who knows how JRod will recover, and we've seen very little of Djuricic so far. Can Davis be left out? What's your opinion?
  3. I see Sherwood did similar with Pochettino today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31560185
  4. It has to be shown, just for the lols. 0[video=youtube_share;f-5w6FIVMU0]http://youtu.be/f-5w6FIVMU0
  5. I'm going to run on the pitch and pull Lallana's shorts and pants down. I think it's a brilliant idea and you won't talk me out of it. Then I might run over to the Liverpool bench and sit next to Dejan and Rickie. Finally when I get evicted from the ground, I'm going to throw some fresh turds at the Liverpool coach. (none of this is true, I don't have a ticket, and will be at work for the duration of the game. )
  6. We're defensively the best team in the league so we are where we are on merit, but I still worry about our ability to score goals. I don't think we'll finish top 4 anyway, the teams below us are starting to find their form and we're dropping points at home, so yes I would take 5th if it were offered now. The players and the management wouldn't though, they should believe they can get top 4 right up until the last second of the season.
  7. I'd rather beat Liverpool. I'm fairly meh about Spurs. That said we were robbed by both earlier in the season. I'd like wins against both please.
  8. We must be the only team in the league with one fit/available out and out striker. We'll be lucky to get 6th at this rate. I back Pelle to end his goal drought though and as long as Mané, Tadic and Elia (and now Djuricic) chip in with goals, we can still do it. Need to be better than tonight though. One point from 2 home games is poor. Still top 4 though which is the silver lining, and a nice gap until Liverpool for the injuries to come back.
  9. Adrian sent off. They'll lump the ball up to Carroll for the rest of the game. This is a must win game now.
  10. Yoshida injured? Left back curse continues...
  11. Nuns. Not always sexy. COYS
  12. They were going to be early but they stopped at Winchester Services for a Burger King... They have gone very offensive. We need to be defensively sound and quick on the counter - we could even be like the away team tonight. Need another mature performance from Reed. Elia will be our key man IMO.
  13. I dreamt the scoreline tonight was 4-1. It was not clear who to. Based on our defensive record I'd guess it was us. Anyway my more conservative consciousness thinks it'll be a draw tonight. Which is not good enough for what we aim to achieve. Top 4 teams should be winning games like these at home, irrespective of how tough West Ham will be.
  14. Mayuka, Gallagher, Long, Rodriguez all long term injured. Does any other team have such bad luck with their strikers?
  15. Arsenal win Hull vs Villa draw Liverpool vs Spurs draw Sunderland win Chelsea win Palace win United win Stoke vs City draw Swansea win That's my predictions for those, which of course means we need to win against West Ham. Let's keep the pressure on the others for as long as we can.
  16. I draw your attention to this thread... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?53328-Drink#.VNivRCcgGSM
  17. Yoshida up front? Rather play Nathaniel Clyne in goal.
  18. He's having a decent season but I think they prefer the movement up front of the other two. Carroll is a handy player though, and he has good feet too for a big lad, he's not the clogger he's made out to be. Crouchesque really. West Ham's only fit centre back Tomkins broke his nose yesterday apparently, though is expected to be fit for Wednesday. Shame.
  19. Good. I like Carroll but reading KUMB they prefer Valencia and Sakho up front.
  20. He's worked his ******** off for the whole season as a lone striker so he doesn't warrant criticism, but strikers are largely judged on goals and he's hit a dry spell. That's no reason to criticise him though, if anything he should be encouraged. Nobody knows about his poor form more than the man himself, I'm sure he's desperate to get amongst the goals again. The only upside to idiot fans criticising him is the maybe he'll be more fired up to break his goalless streak.
  21. I wonder if Redknapp's dodgy knee will miraculously heal itself...
  22. I like the look of Alex Song, always looks composed. If we lose Morgan in the summer, I'd not mind us pursuing him as a replacement.
  23. Luke Shaw sent off lol
  24. Morgan and Vic protecting the back four, and attacking trio of Mané, Elia and Tadic behind Pelle is what I'd like to see, but I wonder if it's too adventurous. No Davis (who has good industry) and no JWP (who has a few assists recently) could be costly, but with our first choice central midfield I reckon we'd batter West Ham. Can't see past a Saints win though, and we can't afford any more Swansea type slip ups.
