  1. Just realised, this game marked the last of our Saturday 3pm kick offs! Still, with 7 games to go, it gives us a good chance to get used to not having many in the Premiership!
  2. I always wondered, a reverse of this topic perhaps, but how long could I sit rooted in my seat for after a game, before the stewards started getting tetchy? I quite fancy leading them into a Benny Hill style cat and mouse chase around the Chapel end.
  3. Easy - Reading win please. Our priority right now is not to win the league, but to get automatic promotion. After we've accomplished that, THEN we can go looking for a league title. A Reading win would make that gap between us and West Ham so much more comfortable - and it would have the bonus effect of annoying smug West Ham fans. The title is in our hands anyway - We still have Reading to play, so even if they do beat West Ham, we could nullify their 3 point advantage (an advantage only obtained if we lose that day) by beating them at St Marys. And there's still the 5.1 point gap anyway. This 'grinding out wins at the end of the season' thing is fantastic.
  4. I couldn't really follow the game today, but it's been a great day in the SaintNoStoppingUsNow household thanks to the results. Saints win, Norwich win, I've already had beers, I'm getting a free meal out tonight, West Ham only drew, I now have ten days off work, and my wedding has been mostly paid for by my mother. All that, and the sun was shining brightly thoughout. I don't even care that I had to be up at half three for work this morning. Saints are going up. "Then I saw the scores, now I'm a believer! Not a trace, of doubt in my mind. We are good Oooooooooooh I'm a believer I couldn't fear them if I tried..." I don't really know what happened during the game, only that Sharp scored twice. I'll judge the rest on comments on here. Out of ten, how good does it feel to be a Saints fan right now?
  5. While the Liebherrs are happy to invest in us, we're in damn good shape. If they ever decide to sell us, then we'll have to hold our breath and hope we get a decent owner/chairman in place. Hopefully with our success at present and our imminent promotion (!), they won't want to quit anytime soon.

Best signing of the season by a country mile. In the whole of the Championship I mean. Even trying to be non biased here. And I'm definitely racking my brains for other key signings. Lord knows what Celtic were thinking of letting him go, or why the Celtic fans were taking the wee, but he's been fantastic for us.
  7. Nobody voted for Frazer, and I felt sorry for him, so he got my vote.
  8. They have set up two after season party cruises for their board members. If their home form carries on as it is, the cruises may be more sombre than a trip on the Costa Concordia. (Although I like the idea of a party cruise with Saints fans...)
  9. Wow. I knew we'd been top two all season but that graph really brings home how consistant we've been. I'd love to post that on 'HobNob Anyone' and KUMB, thus rubbing it in the faces of those that consider us lucky.
  10. Eeek, Though a genuine memory slip, I'm going to lie and say that I meant 'last midweek home game'. (Climbs back under a rock...)
  11. Simple question really: Best player of all time? 24 years old, and he's scored more goals than any other Barca player ever. Another ten years there, and he'll make a record that will never be beaten. In my opinion, Argentina need to win a World Cup, orchestrated by him, for him to overtake Maradona as the best player ever. (After Matt Le Tiss obv...)
  12. Our away form is surprising and tremendous at the moment, but our last home game was a draw. (I was there against Ipswich, I blame myself for not winning that.) Let's get the home form 100% for the rest of the season. No disrespect to Doncaster, who've had a few good results lately, especially against Wet Sham, but we really should be beating their likes at home in front of our own crowd. I think we will. Thumping win please, with a scintillating performance that will make the other two soil their undies.
  13. I'm the most brassic one, having a wedding to pay for and all! :-( Hopefully we'll have a good laugh, but we're not a raucous bunch really, fairly mellow although we like a drink. 9 of us in all. I must say from what you guys have been saying Bristol sounds like an excellent place for a stag do. A good choice. I'll definitely be booking a club far in advance though, I know a lot of places don't like Stag groups in their clubs.
  14. This. He still has a role to play this season, but who's to say he won't make it in the Premiership? I thought Steve Morison was a strange signing for Norwich from Milwall, but he's adapted very well and chipped in with a few goals this season. With the extra fitness he'll get in the next few months, his eye for goal alongside Lambert, Lee and A.N.Other (Or Guly even) could be priceless in the Premiership.
  15. Weekend's fixtures: Burnley vs West Ham Reading vs Blackpool Southampton vs Doncaster. I reckon wins for us and West Ham there, but Reading to draw against Blackpool.
  16. For a team that has struggles away this season, what a terrific run of away wins that is. Just as we trip up with our sensational home form, we manage to find some stones away. This is not the Southampton I grew up being used to. It's bloody much better! If we do go up, potentially struggling would be a welcome return to the norm that we haven't experienced since the 2008-2009 season.
  17. Well I will say it... ...I love Adkins and want his babies.
  18. NOW I want to do the Beeb prediction league. Even being as stingy as possible towards Saints, it'll be tough to get us to finish in the play-offs. West Ham and Reading have to meet - and I think we could be the nail in Reading's coffin when they visit SMS.
  19. Words cannot describe how great a feeling these results have given us tonight. 5 points clear - even if West Ham win their game in hand, that's still a four point gap with a better goal difference. It's looking mighty rosy up there - do we say it? Do we DARE say it?
  20. West Ham game over 1-1, Reading lose, Saints win. Sexual, sexual night.
  21. West Ham hit the top of the net! Come on Boro!
  22. Jutkiewicz hit the crossbar!
  23. PLEASE stay the same SCORELINES! Come on you scorelines!
  24. Middesbrough AND Posh score!!! I love the BOROS!!!
  25. In that order. It's always wise to use the loo before the missus.
