Retard. Chance to offend people. Rizla packet. Chance for a cheap costume. 'Raptor. Dress like a vicious dinosaur. Rum. In addition you can drink it at the party.

Rubbish. Chance for a dress down. Robot. Not Crouch. Russell Brand. Messy hair.

If we win 5-0, I fully expect those particular ladies to turn up on my doorstep and demand some loving. They'll be disappointed though, my missus wouldn't allow it.

Clearly he stands the tough task of winning over some fans, but if the current management think he will add to the squad, then we can only believe them. I don't rate any player until I've seen them play, and at 24, he's now one of the more experienced players in the squad!

I had a very strange dream last night that we would win 5-0 with goals on the 16th, 40th, 62nd, 68th and 89th minutes. Worth a pound bet, d'ya reckon? :-)

Continuing the theme that ex-players come back and haunt us, eh?

New mob to enforce the law - would you want this job?

I once got a fine for leaving some dog**** on the grass in my local park. This little old lady walked up to the dog do, then up to me and told me she worked for the council and was fining me for befouling the park. (Not me personally...) Now I hold my hands up, she was right to do it, but some other people I know would have just nutted her in the face and walked off. After all, she didn't know my name or address, and I needn't have given it to her. I did, because I got caught red handed (although the dog poo was extremely runny and would have probably soaked into the ground in a matter of seconds - it was raining afterall), but with no-one else around, she was putting herself in a lot of danger, had I been a mentalist. Ok, she was doing her job and wasn't, at that point, a civilian, but there seriously are some busybodies out there with no care for their own safety that would take the government up on this,. -

Tonight - Work til 11. Friday - Work til 11. Saturday - Work til 11. Sunday - FREEDOM FOR 3 WEEKS!!!! The best time of the year for every Underground staff member is the start of their 3 weeks summer leave. Albeit the summer has been and gone. :-( Still....WOOT! Copius amounts of drinking and looking for a place to live with the missus. -
I still think we'll experience a number of lows, especially towards the end of the season when old legs grow weary and young legs take over, but the early signs are very promising.Games like Blackpool on Saturday should be our bread and butter 3 points. Should be...

That's a toughie. So many have done so well. Holmes has proved he's not just come here because he couldn't make the grade at Derby; Gillett has proved height, or lack thereof, doesn't make a bad footballer; McG had proved that, despite seasoned pros like Rasiak, Saga, BWP and John on the books, he can score goals and take his chance when presented it; Killer has proved Lazarus was no fluke; Lallana has proved there is life after Le Tiss, Schneiderlin has proved good players DO want to play for Southampton; Perry has proved age is no barrier for experience, James has proved etc etc etc To narrow it down to 3 would be tough. Killer, Gillett and McG? Who knows...

Good old Saints fans, making an argument out of absolutely everything! ;-) RIP to the driver. Thoughts go out to the family.

I could tear you a new arsehole if you really want to stand out from the crowd...

Saints will not screw it up - I just get the feeling we're laying to rest all the cliches that Southampton fans have to put up with season after season. In fact I get the feeling we'll be very good indeed. 3-0. It's just a shame I can only watch the first half before I have to go to work. :-(

Get well soon Mick. Could've been worse I suppose.

WHoever the Sky Sports "reporter" is at the moment is a moron. Doing a round up of last nights action, he said that League One side Southampton managed to upset Championship side Birmingham. I know we were shyte last season, but we did manage to stay up, right? Or did I miss something?

Not one of our players (though I have been racking my brains :-)) but Steve Watson used to play all over for Newcastle. Principally a right back, he was also utilised in midfield and in emergencies as a striker too. Darren Purse likewise, although he's now settled as a defender. It may just be faded memory but I think Alan Neilson used to play in different positions for us...

That too... :-)

Click on User CP and go to avatar options, then right mouse click over the avatar of your choice, copy the properties (the .gif bit) and paste into the avatar section. At least that's how I do it...

I noticed that. Really poor quality footage! It was like watching a match in the 70's. The Carling Cup highlights on ITV were shocking. You can't allocate 45 minutes to the programme, spend most of the time on one match (even if it was the "tie of the round"), gloss over a few others and completely ignore some. Terrible programme making. As others have said, Sky SPorts News had slightly longer coverage of the highlights! That said, anybody that wanted to see more could've gone to the game, but a lot of people, myself included were unable to for one reason or another. I'll be glad when the Beeb gets its hands on it.

Man Utd at Old Trafford would earn us a fair few quid, but I'd like to see us progress past the next round before playing the big teams, so a home tie against lower league opposition please! (I know, I know, it's the cup and little teams can beat bigger teams etc etc, but the way we're performing this season fills me with confidence.)
