  1. I'm not fussy. I'd splat on all 3.
  2. Today - Been to the charity shop and the tip, off to the missus's family house in Norwich. Few drinks this evening and a Chinese. Tomorrow - England match and more drinking I would suspect. Sunday - Relaxing, coming home ready for funeral on Monday. (Not mine.) I predict this weekend shall be a 5/10.
  3. Norwich will get relegated this year. I say this as a wind-up because my missus supports them. :-) In truth, I still don't think their squad is strong. Shackell leaving on deadline day was a big loss. Low mid-table could be their best hope. (Like us IMRO...)
  4. You were watching the Kate Garraway advert nes pas? I wouldn't drink it. Unless it was a matter of life or death on a desert island somewhere.
  5. Paid for by the taxpayers. I would like the government to use my tax pounds to hire Britney Spears so that we can all give her a ruddy good rogering. Money well spent. Why Britney? She's in such a state, you wouldn't feel bad afterwards.
  6. I have arachnophobia. I am suing Liverpool Borough Council and Master Bates for £60 gagillion pounds for emotional and psycological trauma. I'll settle out of court for a meatball sub.
  7. Experience is good, and they're all good players in their own right, but I thought we totally lacked pace in the centre of defence against Blackpool. Perry was reading the game well, Svensson was challenging well for the high balls, but there just seemed a distinct lack of pace. IMO of course.
  8. SSN is as confused as the rest of us. Is he sacked? Is he not sacked? Do we really care? Lolage at the Newcastle fan on the cutaway on SSN drinking the White Stripe and then pouring it over everyone.
  9. I think any man should be arrested for whipping out their bell in a public place.

    Killer!

I don't think there's enough pace in defence, especially if playing Surman and James as attacking full backs. Perry and Svensson are both good players, but playing together means a distinct lack of pace. Perhaps a starting spot for Cork?
  11. Friday - Work Saturday - Work Sunday - First day of holiday and was bored out of my mind. 1/10.
  12. Happy Birthday :-)
  13. The way Blondie sang it?
  14. Vedran Corluka leaves Man City for Spurs.
  15. Having watched McG play yesterday, I believe he has the quality to play where Lallana played on Saturday, Lallana moves across to where White played and John, or even Pekhart, can go up front. I'd definitely find room for John, after a good season last season. That's if we haven't sold him by the end of today...
  16. List any key signings here, though clearly White Hart Line is going to experience more personnel changes than a strip club with a pervy manager...

    Transfer Deadline

This is true. The emergency loan window opens for League clubs in a week. I can't see anyone wanting Dyer or Euell, so I have a feeling they'll still be here tomorrow. The only player I can see going anywhere is Skacel on loan. We'll see. I'm on holiday today, and usually would be sat at the internet following all the transfer ins and outs, especially as there'll be a few biggies but have got one or two things to do!
  18. The last meal has to be less than $20. But anyway.... I'd say I was a cannibal and ask to eat the man that was to administer the lethal injection. I would also claim that I'd killed someone famous. Just to keep my name in the papers a bit.
  19. I still think we'll do ok this season. We do have strengh in depth, are playing well even if we're not getting the results. Results will come, we just have to be patient.

    Kelvin

Had a couple of great saves in the first half. How he got down to his right and kept the Hammill shot out I'll never know. Good agility.

    Boo Boys

It sickens me that "fans" boo this young team. We lost, but not badly, and they need encouraging not booing.
  22. I only managed to see sixty minutes because I had to come to work, but from what I saw, it wasn't a terrible performance. Lallana had a good game, but should have scored when the ball was cleared off the line. Holmes looks like a good free transfer too, but wasn't getting enough support. Davis made a couple of good saves in the bit I saw, but we were clearly suprised at how well Blackpool played. Burgess was terrorising the defence, and Hammill had a good game. (Well, the 60 minutes I saw anyway!) I still think we look shaky at the back. There's not enough height, and not enough pace in defence. Perry read the game well but looked as if he was struggling to keep up, and while I thought Killer played ok, he wasn't up to speed either. James and Surman were positionless, I suppose this is the problem with attacking full backs. From the rave reviews on here, I was looking forward to seeing Gillet, and while he had some possession and things flowed through him (he was also looking for the ball), nothing seemed to want to go right for him today. Schneiderlin was average, it seemed like he was trying to hard with diagonal balls when he could've played it more simply and kept possession. McGoldrick looks like a good player, some neat touches, but doesn't look hard enough for the ball, though he does use it well when he gets it. White looked poor but this will be a learning curve. Dyer looked good when he came on, and perhaps he'll get White's starting spot in the next game. From what I saw, the game was fairly even. Still, this is a learning curve and I'm not too downhearted.
  23. Full Metal Jacket. Just bought it on DVD, and having said that, I think I'll watch it right now...
  24. Pahars was pretty inspired too, as nobody knew what effect he'd have when signing.
  25. We are perfectly capable of winning this game, and winning it well. We are also perfectly capable of throwing it away. The early signs of the new era are positive, tomorrow we could see how far we've come in a short time. It's only the fourth game of the season, less the two good cup wins, but it would be an awfully nice feeling to be on six points by the time the other CCC teams play tomorrow.
