SSN is as confused as the rest of us. Is he sacked? Is he not sacked? Do we really care? Lolage at the Newcastle fan on the cutaway on SSN drinking the White Stripe and then pouring it over everyone.

I think any man should be arrested for whipping out their bell in a public place.

I don't think there's enough pace in defence, especially if playing Surman and James as attacking full backs. Perry and Svensson are both good players, but playing together means a distinct lack of pace. Perhaps a starting spot for Cork?

Happy Birthday :-)

The way Blondie sang it?

Vedran Corluka leaves Man City for Spurs.

Having watched McG play yesterday, I believe he has the quality to play where Lallana played on Saturday, Lallana moves across to where White played and John, or even Pekhart, can go up front. I'd definitely find room for John, after a good season last season. That's if we haven't sold him by the end of today...

List any key signings here, though clearly White Hart Line is going to experience more personnel changes than a strip club with a pervy manager...

This is true. The emergency loan window opens for League clubs in a week. I can't see anyone wanting Dyer or Euell, so I have a feeling they'll still be here tomorrow. The only player I can see going anywhere is Skacel on loan. We'll see. I'm on holiday today, and usually would be sat at the internet following all the transfer ins and outs, especially as there'll be a few biggies but have got one or two things to do!

The last meal has to be less than $20. But anyway.... I'd say I was a cannibal and ask to eat the man that was to administer the lethal injection. I would also claim that I'd killed someone famous. Just to keep my name in the papers a bit.

I still think we'll do ok this season. We do have strengh in depth, are playing well even if we're not getting the results. Results will come, we just have to be patient.

Had a couple of great saves in the first half. How he got down to his right and kept the Hammill shot out I'll never know. Good agility.

It sickens me that "fans" boo this young team. We lost, but not badly, and they need encouraging not booing.

I only managed to see sixty minutes because I had to come to work, but from what I saw, it wasn't a terrible performance. Lallana had a good game, but should have scored when the ball was cleared off the line. Holmes looks like a good free transfer too, but wasn't getting enough support. Davis made a couple of good saves in the bit I saw, but we were clearly suprised at how well Blackpool played. Burgess was terrorising the defence, and Hammill had a good game. (Well, the 60 minutes I saw anyway!) I still think we look shaky at the back. There's not enough height, and not enough pace in defence. Perry read the game well but looked as if he was struggling to keep up, and while I thought Killer played ok, he wasn't up to speed either. James and Surman were positionless, I suppose this is the problem with attacking full backs. From the rave reviews on here, I was looking forward to seeing Gillet, and while he had some possession and things flowed through him (he was also looking for the ball), nothing seemed to want to go right for him today. Schneiderlin was average, it seemed like he was trying to hard with diagonal balls when he could've played it more simply and kept possession. McGoldrick looks like a good player, some neat touches, but doesn't look hard enough for the ball, though he does use it well when he gets it. White looked poor but this will be a learning curve. Dyer looked good when he came on, and perhaps he'll get White's starting spot in the next game. From what I saw, the game was fairly even. Still, this is a learning curve and I'm not too downhearted.

Full Metal Jacket. Just bought it on DVD, and having said that, I think I'll watch it right now...

Pahars was pretty inspired too, as nobody knew what effect he'd have when signing.

We are perfectly capable of winning this game, and winning it well. We are also perfectly capable of throwing it away. The early signs of the new era are positive, tomorrow we could see how far we've come in a short time. It's only the fourth game of the season, less the two good cup wins, but it would be an awfully nice feeling to be on six points by the time the other CCC teams play tomorrow.

Retard. Chance to offend people. Rizla packet. Chance for a cheap costume. 'Raptor. Dress like a vicious dinosaur. Rum. In addition you can drink it at the party.

Rubbish. Chance for a dress down. Robot. Not Crouch. Russell Brand. Messy hair.

If we win 5-0, I fully expect those particular ladies to turn up on my doorstep and demand some loving. They'll be disappointed though, my missus wouldn't allow it.
-
Clearly he stands the tough task of winning over some fans, but if the current management think he will add to the squad, then we can only believe them. I don't rate any player until I've seen them play, and at 24, he's now one of the more experienced players in the squad!
-
I had a very strange dream last night that we would win 5-0 with goals on the 16th, 40th, 62nd, 68th and 89th minutes. Worth a pound bet, d'ya reckon? :-)

Continuing the theme that ex-players come back and haunt us, eh?

New mob to enforce the law - would you want this job?
SNSUN replied to Alf Tupper's topic in The Lounge
I once got a fine for leaving some dog**** on the grass in my local park. This little old lady walked up to the dog do, then up to me and told me she worked for the council and was fining me for befouling the park. (Not me personally...) Now I hold my hands up, she was right to do it, but some other people I know would have just nutted her in the face and walked off. After all, she didn't know my name or address, and I needn't have given it to her. I did, because I got caught red handed (although the dog poo was extremely runny and would have probably soaked into the ground in a matter of seconds - it was raining afterall), but with no-one else around, she was putting herself in a lot of danger, had I been a mentalist. Ok, she was doing her job and wasn't, at that point, a civilian, but there seriously are some busybodies out there with no care for their own safety that would take the government up on this,.
