Annoyingly, I can make the game on Tuesday, I don't have work as an excuse. However one of my friends is back from Australia, possibly the last time I'll ever see her, so my hands are somewhat tied. (In fairness, she does have massive knockers.) I will be cheering doublely hard versus Hartlepool the following Tuesday.

Anyone else think it'd be funny if Norwich and Charlton occupied the auto spots at the end of the season? :-) God I wish I had been there today, but in hindsight I'm bloody glad I wasn't! 1-0 over Leeds is a fantastic result, and with recent wins over Huddersfield and Norwich, we're fast becoming the best team in this League. Ironing out the slip ups this season away from home, such as Tranmere last week, is key for aspirations of promotion this or next season. Beat Swindon and there's no reason why the final part of this season couldn't leave Cortese speechless... Chuffed with this result, and we reciprocated favours with Norwich today, Huddersfield's form is slipping.

Yes, we can mathmatically make the play-offs. This would require us to win all our remaining games, or virtually all of them if one of our play-off rivals really arses up big time. Will we? I don't think we will. I bloody hope we do, but I think the gap is just too big. Huddersfield's recent demise gives us hope, but Tuesday's Swindon game is the real decider. Win that, and our game in hand, and I'll assess where we are then. I'm enjoying each game as it comes at the minute, and long may that continue.

When fit and playing, IMO the emergency keeper would be Murty. Reads the game well, and is a big guy. It also wouldn't be weakening the team as much as sticking Lambert in goal would. Without Murty in the team, then I'd plump for Morgan. He's not going to score anyway, might as well utilise him in a position which goals for a non-goalscorer! (Love you Morgan...)

Getting rid of Lowe's legacy is one thing, but I'm very suprised to hear this one. I have grown very fond of my trips to St Mary's although I can understand people's ties to the stadium are not nearly as strong as they were to the Dell. I'd be very suprised if this happened, it smacks of a PR stunt to me to please the fans, but then who knows. We all know the big man Mr Liebherr is minted, if he has our best interests at heart then we can only be pleased. EDIT: I also like having the Southampton ground in Southampton Central, it's great to walk in from, or to, the pub prior/post a game.

He's funny at times, and not funny at other times. Just like all comedians. People say they think one comedian or other is unfunny, but it must be prejudice. All comedians are funny or they wouldn't be comedians. I don't like Billy Connolly, he's not my taste, but some of his material still makes me laugh. Frankie Boyle is very quick, but I've not seen MTW since he hasn't be on it so I can't judge. I have met Andy Parsons though briefly. It didn't amuse him that I couldn't remember his name...

MB, I know you've had a hard time of it in the last year, I'm hoping things start looking up for you and you can get work. I also hope you find something quickly because there's 85 pretty annoyed Pompey staff looking for work. I'm glad I don't have to worry about benefits, maybe I will some day, who knows, but I can empathise with those that legitimately aren't getting what they are entitled to. Talking of relegation-saviours, Mickey Evans was another. Always felt sorry for him, came in, did the job, then got sold back to where he came from. I remember some people saying he wasn't Premiership quality, but his cameo kept us going for an extra few years. Signing players like Mickey and Marian are what makes manager's reputations. (Clearly the opposite can be said about certain managers when you think of the Olivier Bernards of this world...) Fingers crossed that we can now sign a gem that makes the difference and gets us promoted. (Puncheon perhaps...)

Hilarious, but then I am "the most immature 29 year old that (my girlfriend's best friend) has ever met in her life". Not so funny when suffering from a bout of the squits, as I am at present.

Without the reserve team, would we have given Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain his debut vs Huddersfield? I doubt it. Reserve matches keep up the fitness of the older warriors too. Lee Holmes was getting his fitness back in the reserve team, and it worked for him. Loans are a good move for players, but only with a recall clause. We've needed our full squad this season, especially with all the cup tied players, having Thomas, Perry, Holmes and Wotton willing to step in when necessary has been important - and we still have one more game to go where we'll need them, perhaps the biggest of our season...

A derby with Bournemouth next season would be a good little derby, perhaps the last chance for one for a while. I've enjoyed this season. We've put up with enough crud in the last few years to know when we're on to a good thing. 7 defeats in the league all season is a good return so far, if only we have suffered less draws and more wins. Finding that winning mentality in tight games is something we must do next year to get promoted. We must get promoted though. It's all very well toddling around in League One, but Mr Liebherr and his cash won't stick around for ever. It's all about promotion. Even the CCC would do for a couple of seasons, but one way or the other we must do it next season, or I can envisage, though I really hope it doesn't happen, the better elements of the squad sold off.

I think I read on here, that due to the JPT Final, and the tickets issues therein, that the ticket office would have struggled to deal with both at the same time. Once all the JPT tickets have been sent out, then perhaps will that news be announced.

I have booked three. I will be waiting until they turn up next week to see how many I really have (having clicked "refresh" repeatedly in the online sales), then if my mates don't want them, I'll stick them on here. It has to be face value though people. The more Saints we get in that ground, the better the atmosphere.
