  1. Happy Birthday Toby. When Fraser is older, you'd better make sure you get him nice presents, your birthday follows quickly afterwards, and you will have to expect to receive arse presents if he's not satisfied with his...
  2. He should never have to buy a ticket. Granted, he made more money in his career than most of the rest of us put together, but he could have earned more by going elsewhere. And he didn't, because loyalty shone through. Give him a ticket, a chant, and a bottle of Malibu.
  3. Theres' no reason to sell anyone in the summer unless they want to go. We're building for the future, which means all the players we have, excepting the chaff, must stay.
  4. I was very tempted to put some money on Morgan to score at any time tonight, but Ladbrokes weren't offering that service at the time. :-( Bet he goes and scores now... Judging from Cheltenham, and the Swindon game, anything I bet on doesn't come true. So I've stuck a covering bet on the draw/Hartlepool win tonight. Easy win for Saints then...
  5. I, too, would love it if Leeds ballsed up their chance of promotion, and for that reason I'm hoping Millwall or Charlton beat them to the auto spots. I would also love it if we manage to get them in the play-off final and beat them. :-) I do, however think it's highly unlikely, nay nearly impossible, for us to make the play-offs this season. I do however think our form until the end of the season will be good to brilliant, and will certainly spool the likes of Colchester and Huddersfield.
  6. A very good Lounge thread. :-) For me, the best Roasted meat is Pork. I love Pork. You could roast me a whole joint of Pork, and I'd try my darndest to eat the whole damn thing. Without being greedy though, I do tend to ration it. So... Pork - At least 3 thick slices but the more the merrier. Got to be thick slices... Crackling - God created Pork to come with crackling. Got to be slightly soft on the inside, to make chewing not impossible. Roast Spuds - Four or five reasonable size spuds. Got to be very, very crispy, my dad really cooks the best ones, though they probably instantly raise my cholesterol levels. Stuffing - Sage and Onion, while it doesn't really lend itself to Pork too well, my olds always do stuffing with whatever meat they're cooking, which suits me. My girlfriend doesn't, which angers me. Crispy Roast Parsnips - I've only started eating parsnips in the last six months, I never use to like them... I didn't use to eat much veg, I was a fussy sod, but now I'll pretty much eat anything. Peas are my favourite veg, I also like carrots, broccolli, cauliflower (especially cheese), beans, cabbage, etc etc but I can't eat sprouts, swede or turnip - it makes me throw up. :-( Gravy's got to be thick too...
  7. Hell no. I can't stand either of my parents.
  8. Am I crazy that I think they all look ****ing ridiculous, or are they crazy for doing this? I occassionally watch Snog, Marry, Avoid on BBC3, dross in itself, but I see all these girls saying "I would never go out without my fake tan!" Do they realise how stupid it looks? Or is it me?
  9. It's a bank holiday 3pm kick off, so there could be quite a few people interested in spending the day at St Mary's...
  10. Harsh IMO, while the USA may not be the best world force, they're surely too good for Charlton. I don't want Leeds to go up, and because of this, I actually hope Charlton's form picks up.

    Third to First

Chris Perry, once he's had his bionic legs fitted. Plus I've heard that next season is really going to be Pulis's season.
  12. There are four players that IMO have earned the right to play at Wembley as they're the players that played a big role in getting us there... Perry, Antonio, Waigo and Thomas. I hope all are fit and that all get their chance, even if it's from the Subs bench, although I understand that there is little room for sentiment in football. A trophy, however tin pot, will go down in our history, so winning it is perhaps the most important thing. I will however be enjoying my day out at Wembley no matter what!
  13. I said we'll beat Tranmere, and Swindon and neither happened, so I should be cautious about this game. I'm not going to be though - I'll be at St Mary's tomorrow and I want us to win by a big margin, for entertainment value AND to get the party started for Wembley! Fingers crossed we don't arse this one up, I don't think we will, but you never know. 3-0 Saints.
  14. Not sure, but it'd be great for Oxlaide-Chamberlain to step up off the subs bench and net a goal at Wembley...
  15. Missed the sticky thread that was running for the last month or so... ;-) Where did it go!?!?!? EDIT: It was the Pompey song thread I was thinking about. God knows what I was going on about. I guess some songs could remain the same though... Thomas is a big loss to the cup team. Shame, because he's earned his right to play IMO. I bet James is rubbing his hands with glee. (In an empathetic way...)
  16. Note to self, never log on here during games. The second I logged off to get back to work just after half time, Lambert got his first! A good win, fairly irrelevant in the course of our season now, but it'd be good to freak out a few teams in the play-offs by coming up fast behind. Not beating Swindon and Tranmere put paid to our season, but with winnable games against Hartlepool, Leyton Orient and Oldham to go, there's no reason why we can't be within tem points of the play-offs by the end of the season. We need our good players to play well, as Lambert showed today. 3-0 is a good win, MK Dons must be sick of the sight of us by now, beating them and buying their best player! (Although they didn't own him...) Beat Hartlepool, which I'm confident we can do (unless we are the most inconsistant team in the world, ever), and we've built an excellent platform for which to go to Wembley next Sunday. Harding on the right? It shows how having a big squad doesn't always solve problems. Thomas out, Semi out, James unfit. I just hope we have James back and fit for next Sunday to give us some balance. Happy today, bring on the highlights.
  17. Potentially, but that's not something Puncheon or Seaborne should be concerned with...
  18. He should be concentrating on the game tbf...:smt050
  19. Afternoon all, stuck at work but I've snuck off for a meal break to follow the first half. Harding on the right eh? Who'd have thunk it.
  20. I'll be there. Alone. :-( (Except for my 20,000 comrades.)
  21. Either the team will get their act together and perform with a will to win after Tuesday night, or they'll realise we're not in the running for anything now and ease up. I sincerely hope it's the former. Our form at the tail end of this season can sometimes dictate whether we start next season more positively. It'll be a draw IMO, 1-1.
  22. Got three, sadly my mate has taken up his chance to go to Wembley and thus I'm sold out. Sorry guys, hope all of you that want tickets get them. Tis a shame though, I was looking forward to devising a way of issuing them...
  23. Got my three yesterday. (Yes, I'm that fat.)
  24. I do have a dodgy feeling that we'll be expecting more than the team will deliver next season, but ultimately promotion is a MUST. While it would be deemed as a failure, even winning the play-offs would be a reasonable result, yes, we should be looking at automatic promotion, but a play-off win will still get us promoted, and that is of paramount importance.
  25. Bang goes the season then. Pardew says he hasn't given up hope, but he might as well realise now that we're only playing for pride. The JPT Final will give us all something to get behind our team for, and if we do win it, then the season won't have been a write off. (which I don't think it will have been anyway. The progression we've made since the start of the season has been phenomenal.) I will be cheering my head off four more times this season, and I expect the players to fight to the end. Next season promises to be amazing.
