How many players do you think we will sign tomorrow?
SNSUN replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
Three quarters of a player? I hope it's not a centre back! I reckon 0, but then it's better to be suprised than to be disappointed! -
I'll say it quietly because my mate is a Palace fan, apart from the link with Ryan Smith, Warnock has strengthened the front line quite well this summer. The loan signing of Freddie Sears could be the CCC signing of the summer.

Deep down in the bowels of the Tube, it never rains, it never snows, it's never sunny. But it's always ****ING hot.

I think it's rather humourous that the police spent two years surveilling the caves. They must've enjoyed getting paid for that assignment, surely they'd have spotted him in, like, the first week! There were only four caves...

Free right backs are all over the place this summer! As well as Murty and Ifil, there's also Volz. If we really want to strengthen the squad, we need two right backs, leaving James to play in his favoured position in midfield. The last thing I'd want to see halfway through the season is Thomas at right back due to injuries...

Vincent Pericard is on a free... ...ahem, I'll just, err, get me coat.

Your horse comes up with new rulings? Awesome!

Wow, August is a short month...

I've decided that signings are like Heroin. We're all waiting impatiently for the next hit! I see Peterborough couldn't afford Zak Whitbread's wages. Can we?
-
I'll play. Screw it, at 28 i'm supposed to be at my peak, i've played football before in the park, and despite being morbidly obese, i make up for it in spunk. I won't demand much in wages, and my missus isn't WAG material. Am i in?

With a friendly on Saturday, I get the feeling AP will want to have one training session with the new boys before the QPR game. :-) That is my intelligence.
-
No thanks. Yes to the others, although I think Camara and Thomas may be out of our reach, especially as Hull are desperate to sign anyone so long as they fit into a pair of football boots!
-
There'll be a signing tomorrow, two trialists brought in, and a loanee from a big club. I can feel it in my bones. No reliable saws, sorry.
-
Last season, we couldn't afford their wages and we loaned them out. This season, we've been told we don't have to sell anyone unless they don't want to stay and fight for the club. Assuming that we can't sell Greg or Saga by the August deadline, what do you think the club should do with them? Loan them out again? Play them? Or let them rot in the reserves until January? My first instinct would be to play them. They're quality. However, there is a vocal bunch on here that don't want players playing for the club if they're not interested. What do you reckon?

We screwed our big players around so much last year i'm suprised any of them are actually still here. Sucks to lose John, he's a good striker. Who's next?!
-
All games are must wins, realistically. Our first sight should be set on avoiding relegation. The sooner that happens, the more we'll all sleep better in our beds.
-
I think I'd rather keep Rasiak over Stern IMHO, but both would be exceptional in this league. (I'd include Saga in that too). I'd be gutted if John went, but he's already said he's willing to stay, so perhaps if the contract AP is offering him is good enough, he will. With players like Saga, Rasiak, John and Morgan, it's a case of trying to persuade them that we are building for the future here. Fingers crossed AP can keep one, two or even all of them!

The man that makes tumbleweeds is going to have a hell of a job on his hands...

On the flip side, Arsenal clearly seem bored with being in the top-4 after selling two of their best players. Either Wenger has replacements lined up, or he has super, maybe crazy, potetially suicidal faith in his young guns.

Sod signings per se, I'd be happy to see a few Trialists. If there are so many frees out there, we don't have to jump the gun and contract them, just bring them in and see how they get on, then decide whether to sign them. We've seen from trialing Murty that he can do a job for us, It'd calm my nerves just to see a couple of new faces about, ours or not. :-D

We all know there will be signings by next Saturday, it's just a case of when! Literally every second that goes by grates on the conscience! SSN is being overworked in my house!

I think the two vaginas and three boobs on girls from that part of the world is what swung it for me! Of course, at least us and them will still meet this season, and i had someone to share my grief during relegation!
-
Well my missus is a Norwich girl and fan, so i might've sided with them, but most of my mates support Arsenal, so it could've been them. So, so glad Saints were saved, that's all i can say!
