  1. I would be surprised if money was the problem, I was told the money was ready to go. I wish I knew what the problem was because with their proposals I was so excited I nearly ruined my pants.
  2. Sp, Pinnacle have not fallen at the first hurdle, if they have fallen (which has yet to be confirmed). It will have been the last hurdle they cannot overcome Cabrone, my knowledge of this take over is limited, however you have no idea what I know. Please don't assume If I post rumour then I will say so, if I know of an inquiry (better?) then I will post that if I want
  3. I know we have had at least one "new" enquiry today. Whether or not it gets off the ground or not I have no idea (it's a bit late in the day?). The consortium is London based & they have been looking @ charlton but have lost the race there apparently.
  4. Phil, Fry would not insist on dealing with the money men himself, MJ would be able to negotiate with Fry as an agent of the principles. On your other point, I'm sure that pinnacle have been dealing with the media but you only need look at the echo these past few weeks to know for a fact Jackson is doing the same if not worse! He may not be 100% full of BS, but we know from past history that he would be difficult to trust bearing in mind his immidiate past, I also know that some close to these going's on think the same.

  6. Also so we are completely clear, because of how he is regarded, I have told Marc to his face sometime ago AND posted on here that he was a W***R over the Bournemouth thing and my one valid input that evening into their current efforts was that Marc should never ever EVER be allowed near to a microphone or a reporter EVER again DP, That is fair enough, fair play for telling Marc personally how you feel, however I have one question. How can you possibly trust this man on anything given his past history???
  7. £14m is no shock, this was exactly the sum I was told was required this time last week and this was acceptable to fry. If you read the article it insinuates that the pinnacle deal satisfied the major creditors and was in the best long term interests in the club (this was certainly the case from what i was told, it left me salivating). The Echo reports the hold up is they are yet to exchange the final legal docs to trigger preferred bidder status. What the problem is here I have no idea unfortunatley. Arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
  8. I believe this is unlikely, as of the end of the week no preffered potential manager had been identified let alone approached by pinnacle. I was told that they would look to start the process once they had officially been given prefered bidder status, which as we all know is clearly taking alot longer than first thought by those involved. And no I do not know what the hold up is.

the pinnacle & mlt bid have not approached anyone about the managers position yet as they want to get their feet under the table first.
  10. Morph, If the pinnacle deal comes off I will be ecstatic based on what I know. That said actions speak louder than words & having suffered from cheap talk over the last few years sometimes it is best to see how things pan out over a period of time before casting full judgment. I fully expected an announcement on Thursday pm so until announced I am very nervous like us all. That said I know the saints staff were told to expect news on both thursday & friday, so surely we cannot be far away?!! I can say that if this comes off, the one thing that won't be lacking is fan support I can assure you.
  11. I think it's best anyone who has the names (& there are a few) keep them to themselves until the deal is complete.
  12. Think this was dealt with yesterday peeps, just a matter of course. The prospective purchasers are not interested in the plc which is being wound up.
  13. I expected an announcement yesterday afternoon, if nothing today I would be concerened. The announcment I expected was on preffered bidders with injection of funds to keep operating which is now being aluded to in the echo. Conclusion of the deal will not happen today.
  14. Thanks for the update, I'm sure I speak for all your stripey friends when I say "let's hope it's not a long day tomorrow"
  15. How close are you to the action? Can you say how close we are to a deal? With what certainty will there be news tomorrow? What exactly is holding up the process? These are all questions that need answering - I know its not your responsibility, but understand that everyone needs to know these things to rest easy. Cam the situation is fluid in any negotiations until completion. If that is the best way to describe a situation then I will use that word, I'm sure St david has a wide vocab. I am not close to the action and know no more at present.
  16. Some people can pick apart my posts if they like. I know the drill on here & expect it. However I only post in good faith. I know nothing of jacksons bid I only know about him through sf & tsf which speaks for itself & leads me to form an opinion. Knowing a little about the pinnacle bid means that I back this bid 100% but I have no interest other than getting our club back. If there is a better allround bid for the club I would be very suprised but also very happy.
  17. Disappointed that nothing has been formally announced as of yet, however these things are fluid - I would not have posted the info if I did not believe it would happen, we have all been round the block enough. Roll on FRIDAY I have no update as such, however I know those that are working on the bid will be giving everything for the cause and hope that an announcement is imminent. If the deal can be done we can look forward with much optimisim at last.
  18. DP, yes I am making assumptions on the so called mj bid, this is based on his past history. Im not focusing to much on what the echo is reporting because my news came very late last night. As I said Pinnacle fronted bid should be announced as prefered bidders this afternoon. Will supply initial funds this morning to keep club afloat until next stage dd is completed. I am very exicited by what I have heard & trust implicitly - I just hope it comes to fruition today which at this moment I have no reason to think it won't. obviously situation is fluid but I would be suprised if things have changed in the last 7 hours.
  19. Yes pinnacle have made a bid. Hopefully this Jackson stuff is a smokescreen, we all know he is a clown. I particuarly love in the intervie 'I have been described as a photocopier salesman, which I find quite amusing', then says later 'I have sold some photocopiers!'
  20. Says yesterday came & went without announcement, nothing about today though which I believe will be the day as mentioned on the other thread.
  21. Sounds familiar just don't tell the boss! I sit somewhere between sad & passionate I think!
  22. Oh & source "a" or whatever you want to call it!
  23. I can see alot of panic on the forum which I understand, I was feeling the same. However tonight I have spoken to a couple of people which give me great hope. I know we have heard it all before but I am excited by news tonight. Pinnacle fronted bid should be announced as prefered bidders tomorrow afternoon. Will supply initial funds to keep club afloat until next stage dd is completed. Deal to be completed in due course. After all we have been through it is easy to be sceptical of any bids, remember pinnacle is only the vehicle. I'm sure that if this deal is completed we will at last have what we have lacked for over 10 years & dream of- a united club & real hope for the future.
  24. oh & source "A"!
  25. would be v disappointed if he left, he had a few excellent games for us.
