AL is a talented & skillful player, it may well be that he has been badly managed, but I did not see enough desire or effort from him last season at times - ultimately that is his responsibility. If he played with the same commitment he showed against burnley at home (scouts there no doubt) every week I would be delighted to keep him as he really could be the one to light up our season. If he ambles through most games like he did often after christmas - then jog on.

I have read the article, you would have thought they would have got there info today from Oldknow, that said some of their reporting during the takeover was off the mark. WGS is his own man, no one will pursuade him to do anything he does not want to do, you would have thought that he would have been quoted by now if not interested? I hope we will not be underwhelmed with the choice of boss, this is the most important appointment they will make. No. Much as I hate to say it, I think that unless the club grows to rediculous proportions under ML 32,500 is the perfect size. In terms of potential expansion, as others have mentioned the 3 sides are simple to increase to approx 45k at a huge cost to the club. The Itchen would be V difficult if not impossible to expand if I recall correctly.

The only person who can answer is ML, however one thing I can add that in order to make his investment worth while for a range of reasons, promotion back to the premiership within 5 years needs to be the aim. If this was to occur his company would gain huge exposure worldwide if they were for example to sponsor our shirts.

Thanks to Markus for saving our club, this has been a horrible time for all associated with the club & I hope you can restore it to it's former glory & beyond in time. The most important appointment in a football club IMO is the team manager, please move MW back to academy director and choose the right man to lead the 1st team and bring a fresh start for all. MLT is an absolute legend. Due to TL's inaccuracies/Fialka smokescreen & subsequent collapse of the bid - Being honest Matt was somewhat naive in backing TL (he was not the only one ; ) ). One thing that can never be questioned is that his heart is 1000% in the right place & I know this has been a stressful time for all concerned. With hindsight & if you don't let your heart rule your head which is easy to do, I feel the best bid won & matt is probably best off at Sky rather than chairman. Very much looking forward to Matt's Autobiography out at Christmas written with Graham Hiley. From what little I know there will be a few cracking stories in it!

The Swiss whoever they are have conducted themselves superbly during the takeover process unlike a few other chancers who promised much & delivered **** all. I will look forward to hearing from them if & when they are successful which I hope they are. Liebherr are a world renowned brand & this would be a very exciting deal for us if true.

good to finally see some football, I feared we might not get to see this match. first half very poor, eastleigh slightly the better team & Wotte's saints disinterested (sounds familiar). Struggled to make more than 3 passes & very direct. Gillett/Perry/Thomas only came out with any credit. 2nd half made it worthwhile, was a pleasure to see the youngsters play. Showed the first team how it's done in terms of technique, effort, comittment, pass & move. I appriciate the youngsters were gonna be more up for it but imo they taught the 1st team a lesson & clearly seem more competent natural footballers - compare to Wotton who could not trap a bag of cement & most passes ended up in row Z. Some serious work to do with the 1st team - I praise Wottes commitment but I am not a MW fan at all, at least with some good young players (LB & no 10 particularly good) we may at least have some hope from the next generation.
