  1. it just gets worse......... forget the inaccuracies, this proves TL is full of **** (no shock after the last 7 days events) where does that leave us now?!
  2. MB if you are not right I will shoot you in the jiggly tits
  3. This is a big blow, just get on with it ffs
  4. Hope your right KS. however looking back through your posts though, you thought the deal was tba on 19/06/09 and that rod stewart is the mystery backer!
  5. despite some goals, I have never been very impressed with mcgoldrick - his attitude stinks imo and he rarely put in a good shift. good riddence. Hopefully we got a fair price that can contribute/pay the wage bill.
  6. I believe that one of the other sticking points is over the length of the licence offered (initially 2 years), unfortunately I don't know the nuts & bolts of it but Pinnacle are hardly gonna make such a large investment without being sure of the clubs long term membership.
  7. I heard they were looking to tie things up today, however in MLT statement he said tuesday latest, there is a chance they will wrap it up today - but this is saints............ so yeah Tuesday is more likely!
  8. There is absolutely no chance of mlt working with hoddle, of that I am sure. I believe they have secured dowie as 1st team coach & shearer is #1 target as boss followed by kk supported by id.
  9. Great news at last - I heard things were at a very sensitive stage ; ) this morning, however they were ready to drop the 10 point appeal, there are a couple of small issues to resolve with the league & hopefully they can sort it by the end of Monday. One request - tony, I know this is a learning curve for all but be clear from the outset, if you appear to contradict yourself & things do not appear to stack up you only have yourselves to blame for any negative publicity. Please be clear or keep your council. We all want to believe in you but we need clarity not confusion.
  10. Fwiw I do think that pinnacle have the money to complete the deal, I know that mlt 100% has the best intensions of the club at heart. I still think there is a chance that pinnacle will complete but it is now squeeky bum time. What started off I think as an attempt by tl to genuinely try to comunicate with the fan base on here has unfortunately backfired as the more updates he has given has posed more questions than provided answers, & has also contained some inaccuracies which has placed serious question marks against his credibility. I think Pinnacle believe there is some witch hunt against them. I think they need to wake up & smell the coffee. This week has been a huge pr disaster for them which has threatened the deal, they need to grow a pair of ******** realize they have made some mistakes & shut up all the doubters by completing the deal.
  11. good point Duncan, why should the Swiss accept frys terms? Surely this should be the other way round? However perhaps in his defence, there is not enough time to agree a new deal with the creditors & complete?
  12. To be fair I have not seen him state they would pay the wages, only what the BBC reports above in saint stevos post & there is no quote.
  13. Interesting, never heard of him & I confess this is not who I thought it was. As far as I am aware he was not one of the original 4, so I can only speculate that all the others walked & that TL pulled another millionaire out of a hat. Bizzare.
  14. unfortunately not, he won't be a footballer
  15. Ws, In terms of manager this is exactly what I heard/posted on 18/06. I would be pleased with as but would favour kk as he has alot more experience. Did you not ask matt if they don't get a result from the league when they are going to bite the bullet & complete or if they are still worried about getting gazzumped?
  16. As much as I think the FL are very wrong to not allow us to appeal, clearly they met yesterday to debate this and the answer was a resounding "no". As much as I don't like it, it is their league and essentially can do what the hell they like (which they do & have on this occassion). I cannot see this "amicable" stand off ending any time soon and for that reason, I would ask that at this time Pinnacle need to put the best interests of the club first, and that in my opinion weighing up all things that they accept the leagues decision and sign on the dotted line. I believe this is in the clubs best interests as these delays could prove fatal and/or leave us very ill prepared for the new season meaning the -10 could prove irrelevant anyway, even if we do win them back eventually in January 2025.
  17. if pinnacle have agreed to pay the wages what do they get in return?
  18. Hi Duncan, As much as we are all vv frustrated, I don't see how "outing" the money man would achieve anything. TL has already stated they are going to introduce the new owner when they complete - let's just hope they can get on with it tomorrow.
  19. I think we are all frustrated beyond belief, this is like a never ending nightmare. I also agree that tl has been given alot of time & patience from us the fans. Quite rightly, if mlt was not heavily involved tl would be getting no end of **** now. However to his credit tl has been good to comunicate with us whenever possible. The fact remains however is that I trust mlt implicitly so I am prepared to trust tl on this - but they need to tie this up sharpish as patience only goes so far.
  20. Bad news, what kind of explanation is that?? FL are gangsters it's as simple as that... I await TL next update with interest. Now this point has been clarified it's put up or shut up, as simple as that.
  21. Nothing really that the press haven't already reported, however i have heard pinnacle are confident of a acceptable outcome of todays meeting & may be able to complete today. What is said to the press is one thing, part of me felt they have been putting on a brave face, however I now feel a little more assured in their genuine confidence, which was in contrast to the doom & gloom I heard weds.
  22. A west London based property tycoon valued at £700ml.
  23. I would be very surprised as mlt was very critical of the appointment originally.
  24. dp, just to clarify pal - i have never met TL. wish i did then i might know exactly what is going on. the last reliable update i had was on weds. I just back them to the hilt as they clearly have the football clubs main interests at heart & some exciting plans. cheers
  25. based on the concerns which I heard about wednesday, I think he means rival bidders trying to squeeze a late deal. If I had to bet I would put my money on MJ being the main culprit but this part is just my opinion.
