  1. Haha no hypo, see my previous post above.
  2. I think our man is the only one left standing.
  3. All the positive speculation is fun, I think from reading this thread however that most expect a 'name' - way off track I think. The people that were involved originally are not 'names'. Infact I don't think I have read their names on the forum once despite all the speculation!
  4. I think the name will come out shortly, though I know there was a possibility they wish to remain anonomous long term & leave the running of the club to MLT & TL and the board they put in place.
  5. We want guided missile out!, say we want guided missile out!!
  6. It's like a few posters have been stood up at the alter before. Yes there was lessons to be learned from the Wilde episode, but mlt would see that the club is taken good care of. It is sad we have to disect & manipulate what is a positive letter - I think tl deserves a little more faith right now. Like ff says even the most negative should be caustiously optimistic.
  7. Matt is leaving sky for saints
  8. Thanks again tony for all your hard work & taking the time to post
  9. Lynam is also quoted in the echo as saying all due dilligence has already been completed which is reassuring. The 21 days are to take care of the legalities, contracts etc as well as put in place the plan for the fc.
  10. Just correcting my post above - all this was in the echo (other than the premier league bit) & backs up what I was told. Like I said though that was when the 3 parties were in the consortium however from the jist of the echo report it seems the plan is still very similar. I would be surprised if the backer was a billionaire & we need to be realistic, our return to the promised land will be long & have it's ups & downs. The price i am told was £14m, How much investment it is I have no idea but a long term plan building slowly but surely with a board headed by our hero that is 110% saints is my idea of heaven after our recent hell.
  11. Money available immidiately for transfers, significant investment over the next 5 years with the aim of taking us back to the pl & keep us there. Sorry for spelling & grammer - iPhone!
  12. Echo makes interesting Reading today. Says it is now 1 individual which is to invest & that there is significant investment to be spent on the team immidiately over a period of time. Re investment this ties in to what I was reliably informed, however there were 3 round the table @ that point - one which was supposedly particually wealthy (though I'd never heard of 2 of the 3 before or since) Unless tl has pulled another multimillionare out of his hat, I would speculate that one of the big players returned to the table. Nothing else in there not already reported on here! Get in!
  13. what great commitment kelvin davies displays. Last season he was by & large superb, if only they all had his attitude we would not be in this mess in the first place. He needs to be the first signing.
  14. enjoyed that tim
  15. I think MLT is a smart cookie & he will surround himself with others on the board who are more than qualified to run the football club.
  16. Suhari, Nothing funky attached to the bid as far as I am aware at all, however I dare not say "football first" now where have I heard that before!!! If you go back through my old posts might tell you a little more? BTW I only know limited information so do not preach to be completely ITK re all things pinnacle, but what little I can share I will if it's not sensitive. If the original backers did not come back to the table then their financial plans may well have changed so it's unfair to speculate. However if not original backers, I doubt MLT would give his backing to any deal which was not in the best interests of the FC.
  17. Great Great news, although obviously I said a period of exclusivity was due to be announced 2 weeks on thursday....they got there in the end! Well done Tony Lynam & team I believe they always felt they were in the driving seat however the deal has taken much longer than expected. I do not know this for sure but a few people have advised 2 of the 3 original backers had pulled out. A few are aware of their names but they may wish to stay anonimous short or long term so best keep it quiet. Whether they got back round the table in the end we will find out perhaps in due course. As long as the deal is completed this should see us debt free & I can say that if their original plans are still in place we have a lot to look forward to short medium & long term. I think it unwise to spill too much more until the deal is complete but I am very excited to have back possibly the only man that can really unite this club back, soon to be Club Chairman!!!!!!!!!! MLT
  18. Lallana & Surman have more class than any players in League One, if we were to sell them it is likely we would replace them with far more limited players. That said in my opinion (sorry Chez) they are 2 of a number of players that were spineless for much of the season and did not look interested. Funnily enough Lallana put in his best shift for months vs Burnley (scouts there anyone?!) & played like his life depended on it. If only he & Surman & certain culprits had shown that level of comittment throughout the season we would of stayed up, no contest. Actions speak louder than words. Moving forward the key to getting us back up is total commitment, I would sacrifice their undoubted qualities for a limited honest bunch who will fight for the shirt (which I have witnessed many times from the opposition this season). If they had a change of attitude I would be delighted but sadly I feel they have shown their true colours this season....and they are not red & white
  19. Did not realise you knew him hypo? If so perhaps you would like to tell us wtf is going on! Anyway I stand by my comment.
  20. Lynam is not just working as a broker, if successful he will be heavily involved in the day to day running of the club.
  21. At last a bit of good news, let's hope this gets sorted quickly. Interesting that Pinnacle are still in the hunt when reportedly 2 of their 3 investors had walked. The original Pinnacle bid - If still the same, would be my favoured bid because of their plans. However it would be interesting to know more of the "Irish" & "Overseas" interest. Hopefully this now puts the MJ fronted bid firmly at the back of the Q.
  22. I would be very very surprised if mlt would get involved with any group that uses mj as a broker.
  23. nick h, Even though he is not putting in any money, MLT is 100% very attached to pinnacle. More so than I had orginally "assumed". This is one of the main reasons I am +Pinnacle. However being a Saints fan I'm sure he would ultimately support any deal that would be in the best interests of the club, whether he would deem the others suitors out there suitable is another matter.
  24. I understood Pinnacle had no problem punting up the £500k, I was told it was ready to go within a matter of hours.......... but something clearly went tits up - as I've said I would be surprised if it was money but this cannot be ruled out I guess because I do not know for sure.
