  1. There's a bit on the bbc website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8405591.stm I love the quote from Grant: "Of the players we are thinking about, not one of them has said they wouldn't come to Portsmouth." Not yet they haven't.
  2. Then it might be a fella.
  3. The more we discuss this the worse it looks. Emergency right-back purchase in January it is then.
  4. Hmm, it's not quite as simple as that. We didn't actually lose £3m of assets 'we' sold them and received money in exchange. If that reduced the debts then the net value of the enterprise on the balance sheet is approximately the same. It depends on what the book value of the assets was before we sold them. But all this does of course affect the negotiations for the sale of the business and is tied up with what the admistrator, and ultimately the creditors, would accept and what the purchaser was willing to pay.
  5. Yes, I keep forgetting what league we're in.
  6. You have a point to an extent. A lot of the payments amount to reconstructing the club and its playing staff back to an acceptable level. We've lost a lot of players and we've partially replaced them and i would expect more changes to come next month.
  7. And the Neue Pinakothek: http://www.pinakothek.de/neue-pinakothek/ We went there on a Sunday in our camping gear (no, not that sort of 'camping') but all the locals were dressed up to the nines and treated it like some big fashion show. none of them were looking at the paintings, just each other.
  8. Plus he has no positional sense in that position. Besides, we'd miss his presence in midfield.
  9. That's true.
  10. The Deutsches Museum is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing. All models of V2s and a cutaway submarine, U1.
  11. If it reduced the debt, then it certainly should have.
  12. Bugger. There are 5 games to go before January and we certainly can't put James back in there. I used to play right back
  13. Nice try, but I don't think that Sky could get involved on account of the conflict of interests.
  14. Which made the club cheaper to buy....
  15. My son-in-law went a few years ago. I shall be seeing him Sunday so I'll ask him about it. Anything particular that you want me to ask?
  16. The chairman controls the finances, but that's another story  (or should that be Storrie?)
  17. Not a bad idea. I'll chip in £10 if it helps. (well, £9.90)
  18. You'd have to find someone who wasn't sick in the bucket. Although if they could do it discreetly so that no-one noticed until after they were handed over.....?
  19. Never believe a rumour until it's denied.
  20. I shall send one but for maximum impact I think it will need more than what the few of us on here will send. Is there any way of publicising this wider?
  21. They are always the last to know....
  22. That is good news. Once he's here he won't want to leave. Was he looking in John D. Wood?
  23. It made me smile. I do like the 'PAY UP POMPEY'
  24. I'm not fussy. I can't afford to be. Don't forget that it all takes place in September.
  25. In China it used to be only one child which meant no brothers, sisters, aunts or uncles for a generation.
