  1. So that's not his real hair then?
  2. Do you think he saw this coming? If they do get relegated with a points sanction, would it still apply in the Football league?
  3. Which of those do you think will happen first?
  4. I got asked to fax an order yesterday on letter-headed paper. How quaint!
  5. Normally the fax will acknowledge itself, but there might be a cleaner sitting next to the machine with a mug of tea and a few mince pies.
  6. As long as the fax is working there's not usually a problem.
  7. Never trust a link unless you've typed it in yourself.
  8. I wouldn't rely on anything in Wikipedia myself, but my mum has just turned 90 and she knows everything and she's never heard such stuff and nonsense so there!
  9. Interesting reading. They definitely are it a bit of a mess (don't laugh, it's not funny :smt044 ). What exactly is the corporate structure there?
  10. The chairman didn't like the subs, apparently: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1234329/Leeds-5-Kettering-1-United-face-Manchester-United-late-non-leaguers.html
  11. And there are some hand-towels left the end of the game. Who needs big crowds?
  12. In terms of my experience, and it has been enshrined in law for 138 years. My experience does not go back quite that far...
  13. The Law is the Law and should always be obeyed - unless it involves me, and perhaps Trousers, of course.
  14. Indeed, but I believe Platini has some 'interesting' suggestions for Europe.
  15. Psychologically, perhaps the seeds of self-doubt are beginning to grow in the minds of the Leeds players.
  16. Not again.. The Bank Holidays Act 1871, later superseded by the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971, defined 26th December as Boxing Day in England and St. Stephens day in Ireland. I have never known Boxing Day to be anything other than 26th December.
  17. Prize money for the 3rd round winners is £67,500, not to be sniffed at. TV money is not bad either, each club gets £144,000 for live coverage and £6750 for highlights.
  18. Good, I'm pleased for them and they could certainly do with the money. They've been hit much harder than we have with the points deductions but I'm sure they'll be back. I think they should make the most of their big day out, though, and leave the 4th round to us.
  19. American Football has an interesting system. The team that finishes bottom has first pick of the next season's college draft, and every team has a maximum amount that it can spend in total on players' wages, no matter how many players they have. Look at how varied the Superbowl winners are to see how it works. Mind you, franchises there can up sticks and move to another city thousands of miles away.
  20. By the time that happens they'll all be in administration and they'll all start off on -27 points. Something's go to happen eventually to sort out this football debt malarkey. Even the big 4 are deeply in debt.
  21. Yep, the ban is imposed by the Premier League. I can't remember where I read it recently but there was some mention of an unpaid tax bill on top of everything else that they owe.
  22. If we don't it will only be because half the stadium is closed. (Let me know if this gets a bit tedious)
  23. Anyone fancy buying a football club? No? Just a thought....
