Over twenty years ago I was a governor at a top Hampshire secondary school. I confronted the head english teacher as to why they no longer taught english grammar and she replied "There is no evidence that teaching english grammar leads to them writing better english". I think it's because the teachers don't know the difference, myself. Having said that, I would not want anybody to feel that they would be criticised, ridiculed, corrected for anything that they might contribute to these message boards. Let he who is without sin.....

I hate them too. We never had them when we won the World Cup. The England team has never played well since we started having them. In fact, we've never been any good since Joe Mercer was in charge.

I've been saying that about most games this season, tbh.

Most matches go to the team that wants it the most and I don't expect this one to be any different. A draw's not going to be enough so I suppose you could call it a 'must win' game. We are rapidly running out of games if we are to climb out of the bottom three. One ray of hope is the game-in-hand. Once that has gone then there won't be much light left, IMO.
