  1. Now, now, Nick, you know perfectly well that once a bid has been proven and is acceptable to all parties then it must be put to the vote on this forum for final acceptance.
  2. I think that some people saw administration as the only way of getting rid of Lowe, which is why they were calling for it. We can all agree thet we are seriously up the creek and try as I may it's looking more and more difficult to see a way to get back to where we all feel we belong.
  3. Post #7 methinks?
  4. Does that imply that the return of Lowe tipped us into administrtion?
  5. But they might as well lease it to someone who wants to play football there. It would be extra revenue.
  6. If playing a load of kids were the answer then every team would be doing it.
  7. If Wotte stays then we really are deep in the doggy-doos, if it's not bad enough already.
  8. I agree entirely, FWIW
  9. And here we can agree.
  10. You're right about Lowe's attitude, but there was a lot of concern at the time that if the south-west corner of the motorway intersection were to be developed then the other three would soon follow. Add to that the locals' concerns about parking and 'hooliganism' and there were enough negatives that when the present site was proposed everybody breathed a sigh of relief. There were a lot of concerns from the Town Centre about a big retail development just a mile down the road.
  11. There was no chance that the stadium would ever have been built at Stoneham. It would have filled in the 'strategic gap' between Southampton and Eastleigh. Perversely, the proximity to the M27 also counted against it. The car park was originally mooted at 6,000 spaces, later reduced to 3,000, but even that figure would have led to queues of nearly two hours to get out of the ground.
  12. One of them has already stuck his oar in: http://www.alan-whitehead.org.uk/pr/2009/april07.html
  13. It's keeping me in suspenders.
  14. We've been doing that all season. Paying good money to watch a load of impecunious, over the hill, unforunates run around a bit.
  15. Have they been washed? (I only ask because it affects the value)
  16. If we all did that then what would we talk about? Old women like a good gossip now and then.
  17. Thanks Derry. In your opinion, would that mean that the club would never have been itself in administration and would not have benefited from the administration of the PLC, and hence no sanction?
  18. Please don't shoot the messenger. A rumour's not a rumour until it has been shared.
  19. So, you won't be going to the games then? I'm looking forward to it, providing we get a manager who knows what he's doing and a squad of players who want to try and make something of their footballing careers.
  20. I am of the same opinion. Let's just go away and come back when it's all over. Some people on here are like my wife; she will read the last page of a whodunnit because she can't bear the suspense.
  21. Well, they used to wear Tesco's bags for shirts.
  22. I might well have gone on the day but I cannot commit in advance. Now I'll have to stay in and do the decorating.
  23. Thanks for your kind thoughts. Where would our rivalry be without one of the rivals?
  24. ... and halving the number of lifeboats.
  25. Leeson would probably have done a better job than Poortvliet.
