  1. I think the phrase is: 'he'll be disappointed with that'.
  2. You've got to get up earlier to catch me with one of those . I remember a couple of midweeks games at Newcastle where we took a few hundred and I'm sure that someone will point out the game that was iced off at the last minute because the poor Geordies couldn't be trusted to walk to the ground without slipping over. Wasn't that on Sky? New Year's Day?
  3. That's why I said 'likes of'. It's all fading from my memory now (painfully and slowly) but I seem to remember that there was a run of games in October / November that we needed to get about 9 points from and we failed. I'm sure there was a 0-0 in there somewhere, but the point I'm trying to make is that the first game is as important as the last. It's the same with long-term projects. Everybody panics in the last couple of weeks whereas what they should do is panic at the beginning and put their feet up a the end.
  4. No, it's your fault. McGoldrick obviously spotted you working out the scores and it distracted him. It's the same when the players spot that I haven't brought my lucky keyring.
  5. For all the referees, it was a lesson in how not to end a match.
  6. Nobody ever mentions all the 0-0 draws against the likes of Middlesbrough.
  7. Then I suppose that we will have to post the link and add some instructions as to where to find the relevant snippet. I don't think that quoting a couple of words would infringe anybody's sensitivities.
  8. I always run my stopwatch through the match so that I can monitor the added time. I was watching the referee right at the end and he blew for the foul and immediately blew a couple more times to signal the end of the match. When I looked at my watch again it showed 3 mins 38 secs. The referee is the only arbiter of timekeeping.
  9. It was a deliberate own goal. I spoke to somebody who was with the players the evening after the match and he said that when they were in the dressing room after the first invasion they knew the other results and that Saints would be safe with a draw. They all agreed that at the first opportunity they would score a goal to 'equalise' and then all run for cover.
  10. Surely we can repect Baj's instructions. It's no big deal to click on a link.
  11. None of that scares me now, it's all history. It's next season that's looking gloomy. What we can say is that Leicester were poorer than us last season and probably better than us this.
  12. I'll go. That's only leaves another 321 to find.
  13. and so could Bournemouth
  14. Oh, very drole
  15. We've had a whole season to get the extra points that we needed. Let's not pick on the last minute of the last home game.
  16. So Forest are now safe. That makes Sunday's game a might-have-been
  17. What a professional! Notice the way he keeps his eyes off them, unlike the fellow in the read and white stripes.
  18. I cannot sit through another season like this. I'm getting on a bit and there's a long list of things that I would like to do whilst there is still time and watching whilst some pompous misguided egotist destroy a football club is not one of them.
  19. Beattie, Kevin Davies the list goes on and on...
  20. Well, if you're not convinced go and find another club in which to invest your money.
  21. That would waste another season, and I'm getting on a bit. How many seasons would it be before we could play in the Champions' League Final?
  22. Indeed. Good luck in the play-offs! (and I'm not realy jealous, honest i'm not)
  23. Out of Saturday's squad I would keep Davis, Saeijs, Perry. the rest I'm not too bothered about. I'd also like to keep Skacel if possible.
