  1. Quite right!. Wait 'til next season!
  2. That's the first time I've smiled so far this weekend...
  3. Doesn't that include all the Season Tickets even if they can't make it?
  4. Mine work out more like £18 a game?
  5. And there we have the core of the problem. Any manager willing to work under Lowe's interference will almost certainly not be good enough to get the turn-around that we need.
  6. Now we're clutching at draws!
  7. I was united when he wasn't here
  8. Boothroyd! There's another name to add to the list...
  9. To be honest I thought that Forest taught us how to play with what looked to me like a team full of enthusiastic youngsters. At the very least, they all seemed to know what their gameplan was and what each of their roles was.
  10. I hope so, although after a few seasons in the next divisions down I might think differently...
  11. 'forcefully convincing'
  12. I used the word 'embarassed' this afternoon. They were both depressingly poor performances, though to be fair Bristol Rovers turned over a couple of other good teams last year apart from us.
  13. I'm not too sure about Venables. What's George Graham doing these days?
  14. It's difficult to compare them because of the different circumstances and conditions, particularly the dreadful playing surface at Bristol, but I think today was worse because we were at home and so many extra possible regular supporters were there, desperate to be impressed, and they completely blew it.
  15. I noticed that too ...
  16. What happened to Joe Royle?
  17. Why would more support improve his first touch? If he can't control the ball then we will always lose posession.
  18. No and yes in that order. But they are a much better team than we are...
  19. Exactly! How many clubs have not appointed Hoddle and are now better than us???
  20. His touch, speed of thought, desire, commitment were all awful. Putting somebody else alongside him would have changed none of these.
  21. There was nothing for them to cheer.
  22. That was absolutley the most disorganised, gutless, spiritless uninterested load of doggy-doos that it has been my misfortune to witness this season, and I've seen a lot already. McGormless was a liability, a complete waste of space, Holmes was nowhere near fit, puffing and panting after 30 minutes. The rest of them, with a couple of notable exceptions - Cork, Davis, Skacel - had no idea where they should be playing, there was no shape to the team, no power, no desire, Forest were winning all the tackles. We had no shots on target. This clown of a manager has to go now and he should take his chairman with him.
  23. I think you'll find it was the other way round, today!
  24. All these comparisons between Poortvliet and Pearson are academic. In my opinion keeping Pearson would have been a much better option but now that we are stuck with Poortvliet I don't see the point of changing him at this stage. It's difficult to find a suitable manager that's available and cheap at the moment, but as they say 'it doesn't matter who you are, a few defeats on the spin and you're looking over your shoulder'
