  1. Whilst we're on the subject, I've just noticed this smiley: :smt046 I can guess that the 'R' and 'L' stand for Rupert Lowe but what does the 'F' stand for?
  2. Those are two words that you don't normally see next to each other.
  3. One more couple get voted off 'Strictly Come Dancing'
  4. Well said! We could carry on debating all day when surely it's not too difficult for the club to contact those who have not renewed their season tickets and find out why they haven't.
  5. It is a sporting convention among football teams that the away team play towards their own fans in the second half.
  6. It's the one theory that explains everything.
  7. Not you too! This is getting to be like 'the Body Snatchers'
  8. Er, it's not even half-full
  9. I wasn't referring to you or me because I shall be there regardless, and I expect that you shall too. I was referring to the thousands who don't want to pay to watch second-rate reserves. All the famous names that you mention were first-rate reserves and were introduced to the first team gradually. Lallana apart, I don't see anything in the current bunch to suggest that they will make the grade.
  10. Could that be because he is the one in whom they see the most profit when they sell him?
  11. boys against men
  12. I think we must have gone to different games. Our passing, long and short, was some of the worst that I have ever seen.
  13. The quality of the players who may be on show affects the decisions made by those who are considering buying tickets for the matches. Evidently there are several thousand who don't want to pay to watch a reserve team.
  14. Not yet, but give it time.
  15. LOL, that's the first laugh I've had all day
  16. I think you'll find that we managed it all by ourselves with no outside help.
  17. When the stadium announcer says: 'for the benefit of the players, here are the names of the crowd'. (Well we ought to have the complete set)
  18. He's just got a new contract, he can do what he likes for the next 3 years.
  19. I sit in the mid-Kingsland and I could see clear daylight between both defenders and Pekhart, no trips or pushes, and if it had been one of their fellows we would all have been p!ssed off if a penalty had been given.
  20. Some pictures from half-time: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=13&pictureid=11 http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=13&pictureid=10 http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/picture.php?albumid=13&pictureid=9
  21. I thought the defence had a much better shape, allbeit against a very poor Barnsley side, and they say that you should never argue with a clean sheet, but the passing in the rest of the pitch was unbelievably poor. Before the game I was trying to decide which would be the better result, 0-0 or 2-2? Now I'm too depressed to care.
  22. I agree with all of that. It saved me having to write an essay. I think you've been very generous with DMG. He's lucky to get 0 in the poll. It just shows what happens when you sign a new contract.
  23. Do you 'mean who said it' or 'who should we have appointed'? Well I was one of those who questioned the wisdom of having an inexperienced manager and an inexperienced team.
  24. Quite right. When Jan was appointed there were many who questioned why we were getting someone who knew nothing about the English football scene and had no contacts within the game.
  25. It's so depressing saying 'I told you so'
