Then don’t think of him as a striker. He’s useful to bring on late in the game and push the opposition back into the corners.

There’s an inconsistency there. And whyever not?

First clean sheet in quite a while 🤗 Long’s header was superb. I hate VAR. it takes all the joy out of scoring when you have to wait for confirmation before celebrating.

Everton won the toss and chose to play towards their own fans first. Presumably because the sun would be shining in Forster’s face.

Afraid not.

There’s an extensive article on him in The Times this morning (paywall I’m afraid), https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/mohamed-elyounoussi-after-games-id-help-dad-in-the-pizzeria-fans-would-say-didnt-you-just-score-cl3wlv8xz For those who can get access it’s an interesting read. They mention his goal at Tottenham and here’s a question for you all. In the build up to that goal which two Saints players did not make a pass?

Let’s hope they don’t read this forum.

It shouldn’t be too bad, around 20mph or force 4. It will be raining though.

Sell out doesn’t mean that every single seat is occupied.

Harwich County High School and then Enfield Grammar school. The three term system was at Harwich.

The Athletic article about Saints' mystery injuries around 60mins

We can’t all be successful. They’ll just have to wait their turn -
That hasn’t happened for years.

Cause and effect innit. How do you expect us to win a trophy with a capacity of only 32,000 ?

I’ve got one fence post that’s come loose but luckily the shed has stopped it going to far. I thought the posts would have been secure but this one has broken its concrete spur. Just snapped it clean through.

I remember the winter of ‘63. At my school we played hockey, football and cricket in the three terms. In the middle term we didn’t play any football at all and there were piles of ice on the pavements and by the road. We lived near Harwich and large areas of the sea froze. It was a bit different when we moved to Enfield and our temporary classrooms were so cold that the ink froze in the inkwells.

The winds will have dropped significantly by 20:00 this evening.

Just as long as we have a good chance of winning.

I bought my tickets on Monday and I had another email this morning offering me extra tickets should I want them

Yes we could. It’s a matter of market price sensitivity.

Democracy’s a bugger, isn’t it.

Tru dat. Neither my wife nor I can ever remember our schools being closed on account of the weather. Can I ask any other members who grew up in the fifties and sixties if their experience is the same? And yes, I know that it’s a different world today but none of us ever got taken to school by car.
