  1. I wasn't getting arsey, I was expressing disbelief. I thought I was being polite I get arsey when somebody posts nonsense. Always a pleasure having a discussion with you. Have a good day
  2. What on earth are you smoking? Doherty jumped backwards into Forster. He wasn't just standing there admiring the crowd. The rest of your post just doesn't make sense.
  3. After. And he didn't drop it, it was knocked out of his hands.
  4. He played the ball with what? With his back after he had barged backwards into Forster. Before he got anywhere near touching the ball he had to go through Forster's hands, whcih is 'man before ball' very time. Forster had his hands on the ball first and that's what counts as being in control of the ball. Doherty jumped in blindly backwards with no idea of where the ball was. It was a foul yesterday and it's been a foul for as long as I can remember.
  5. The booking wasn’t for that one ‘foul’. It was for persistent misconduct and if Clattenburg couldn’t see that then he’s not fit to comment.
  6. That was his biggest fault and probably the reason for his weird decisions. The booking for KWP came when Taylor was still near the centre circle and thirty yards away. That Emerson Royal one was unbelievable. He got robbed and then realised that he wasn’t going to catch up with play and then went down clutching his leg with a scream that could be heard all round the stadium. The ref didn’t give anything at first but then stopped the game and gave Spurs a foul long after the event. I don’t know what made him change his mind. There was no flag from the linesman.
  7. We were sitting in the Kingsland in line with our defence and at the time Kane looked offside to me. In days before VAR the flag would have gone up straight away and that would have settled the matter. Even with the technology he’s offside.
  8. I can’t see why anyone would think it wasn’t a foul. Doherty jumped into Forster and wasn’t even looking at the ball. He made contact with Forster’s hands first which is ‘man before ball’. There is even a case to be made that the ball was knocked out of Forster’s hands by Doherty’s arm, which would have been handball.
  9. I think it’s not so much a question of how many cases but more a matter of how many unvaccinated players have to self-isolate for seven days (was ten days before).
  10. Me? One eyed? I think you’ll find that in the past I have consistently supported referees against popular opinion. That was a foul on Forster. The sort that get given in any game these days. I didn’t say that the ref was biased, I said that there was a bias in his decisions which may have been subconscious. We see it often enough when a big club is involved. Yes, Salisu was piling in but he was doing so fairly. You’re right about his first card, that was for ‘persistent misconduct’ and Taylor held up three fingers to Salisu. We all thought he was hard done by. ’At least one good goal’ Which one was that? Kane was offside and Forster was fouled.
  11. It’s the big money takeover that raises suspicions.
  12. No problems as long as you were ready. Just a quick glance at your Covid passport on your phone and you were through. No checking of names or IDs. I saw one person walking away from the ground who was checking their printed documentation so I can only guess that they had been turned away.
  13. No match is ever that unbalanced. That referee made some very strange and biased decisions especially in the first half. Biased in the sense that they all went one way.
  14. A mention for Redmond who did a great defensive job when he came on but there were no passengers today.
  15. Very arguably. We had fifteen fouls against us and Tottenham only had five. That tells you all you need to know.
  16. I’m in two minds about this one. I booked a holiday flight for the Sunday and then the bastards moved the game from Saturday so I shall miss it. If it’s rearranged then I should be able to go but on the other hand the greedy bastards should be made to turn up and play.
  17. Against? Surely you mean ‘with 10 men’ ? And in general I agree with you but I find it difficult to pick out one player above the others.
  18. But for us it would be after today.
  19. The 5 card threshold for suspensions ends on Saturday.
  20. If tickets are available on the Ticket Exchange then the game must be ‘sold out’
  21. And if the Newcastle game gets postponed?
  22. But you can arbitrarily get games postponed, apparently.
  23. They were wrestling each other but Broja was too strong for him (good lad). It should have been at least a yellow even if there was double jeopardy.
  24. There was a camera angle that showed him falling on the back of Broja’s legs. Definitely a penalty. You can argue over the cards all day long.
