They do if those with infections wear them. Their main function is to protect others, but they do offer some protection to the uninfected. It’s a numbers game.

I don’t think that shirt pulling comes under the remit for VAR but I hate to see it and it should be eradicated from the game. I don’t like to see rugby style hand-offs either. You don’t play football with your hands.
I loved watching him yesterday. He was thinking one tackle ahead so when Djenepo, for example, went to tackle a player he was positioning himself to cover where that player turned to escape and then nicked the ball off him. Very intelligent play.
