It would need more than pills and consent, but an old man can dream…

Does it have to be water or would any other convenient liquid be suitable?

I didn’t actually say what you seem to think that I said. I gave an extreme example of the costs involved in transfer dealings and you accuse me of think that the same applies to our arrangements. By your calculations the club must be sitting on £18m in their bank accounts and we all know that’s not true. Your figure if £18m is way off the mark anyway. You should never believe the amounts quoted in the media.

Wasn't that 'cold fusion'?

Carl Anka - Summer 2017 contender for worst transfer window

Good point about the managerial payouts. If we include those it's almost as though we also had to pay the equivalent of a transfer fee for each new manager. Do we have a figure for these payouts? -
When I dumped our large CRT model, I think it might have been 28”, it was the first thing that I had thrown away that was in good working order. I could barely lift it when I bought it and it needed two of us to carry it to my car. At the tip a young man just picked it up with two hands and carried it to put on the pile with all the others. When I used to be in TV research up until 1982 the talk was all about being able to make 14” LCD screens for small TVs and portable PCs. Phillips had just bought a production line of Sharp in order to get some experience. It might have been the other way round.

Jack Stephens to play a big role in this season

Quite a few of MLT’s were unpreventable and any penalty given because the ball was hammered at the arm from a short distance. -
Or anyone who is an extensive user of the internet, especially social media.

Not strictly true that, is it. -
More of a grimace than a smile. Maybe someone has a grip of his balls?

Yes indeed. Early doors Doesn’t the same apply to every team?

I’m not sorry to see him leave but I wish him well in whatever career he chooses. -
Monopoly mathematics. ”A deal worth up to…” does not meant the quoted amount has changed hands. It shouldn’t need to be repeated, but apparently it does, that agents’ fees and commissions and golden handshakes and Goode goodbyes eat up a lot of the exchanges. Adam Crozier, who was CEO of the FA at the time, gave a talk to our referees’ meeting and mentioned Juan Pablo Ángel who had recently jouned Aston Villa for £9.5 million. He said that the selling club in Argentina only received about £1.5 million of that.

But they are the bad guy precisely because they have so many people.

Meaningless. Where are Arsenal in the real table?

“by 2020” does not mean any time after 2021.

Forster would have stopped it. Even I would have stopped it. It was nothing special.

Jack Stephens to play a big role in this season

Who do you think Stephens was marking for either of those goals? And by 'marking' I don't mean showing the opponent the number on the back of your shirt. -
It’s not that difficult. I can do it quite easily from the comfort of my armchair.
-
In this case it was denying a goal by handball and not just a DOGSO so once it is deemed to be handball then it has to be a red card. “Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence, the player is sent off wherever the offence“
-
Studs out, straight leg, moving at pace. An inch to the right and it could have been a serious injury and a definite red card. The shin pad was twisted right round to the side. Dangerous and should be stamped out, if that’s the right word. There doesn’t even have to be contact for it to be a foul, but in this case there was.
-
He wasn’t that late. He was caught on the ankle, took a couple of hops and then went down. It was an obvious foul and should have been given.
-
If he had kept his arm still he might have got away with it but that secondary forward movement was just enough for it to have been a foul.

As others have said, he watches the ball and nothing else. Man-marking is an unknown skill to him.
