  1. It takes a few years for a manager to get the players he wants playing the way that he wants. How many of those from his first games are still with us? With players’ contracts lasting up to five years it takes quite a while to clear them out.
  2. The pundits never stopped mentioning it but if they’re going to be balanced they ought to show all the other 23 incidents of shirt pulling inside the box. Holding a shirt of itself is not an offence but it’s a question of how much the player is restricted in his movement.
  3. To be fair no players on either side complained about that incident either and the real referee was happy with it.Before it was introduced we were told that VAR would not re-referee the game.
  4. It is a general principle that you don’t play football with your hands. A hand off may be legal in rugby and American Football but not in the Beautiful Game.
  5. They’ve known about the vaccine for nearly a year. Shouldn’t they have sorted out their position on vaccine passports by now?
  6. No. If they leave the penalty decision to the onfield ref then they have to show everything.
  7. 2-0 is a dangerous score
  8. It’s not for VAR to decide that. If they show the final contact they should also show the build up.
  9. Not quite over then.
  10. Not exactly true otherwise it would have hit him.
  11. It’s only a foul in VAR. Pieters has thrown himself across the legs of KWP. It was a tangle. You get them all the time.
  12. KWP was shoved out of the way. Stronger with his arm, do you mean? Pieters got his cross in and turned into KWP. So Stonewall that the real referee didn’t give it. Try watching in real time, not slow motion.
  13. Because Pieters fell into KWP. The only reason there was any contact was because he was stretching to make the cross and went into KWP. Just as much a foul the other way. VAR has made football a joke.
  14. It’s just as well then that the game is not being played tomorrow.
  15. Isn’t that a cemetery? Aren’t they usually full of dead people?
  16. What??? 😩
  17. Selfish describes those who want others to be restricted for their own personal reasons.
  18. Indeed so. They’ve got the spotlight on them and they’ve got their claws into us. They aren’t going to relinquish their powers easily.
  19. I was told that the tests have a false positive rate of about 0.1%. At a school with a thousand students that would mean about one positive result for each round of testing.
  20. Why should a European third wave bother us? Those who might be at danger should be protected and those who aren’t protected shouldn’t be at danger. Presumably these test spectators will have been well tested beforehand and will not have the disease and will be tested again afterwards. Where the hell are they going to catch anything?
  21. Stupidity at its peak. What the heck are they hoping to test? By the time they get any results my great grandchildren will be playing in the World Cup. And I don’t have any great grandchildren.
  22. Yes. Some sites describe him as British but that would upset some people. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/6903962/history-rangers-davis-126-cap-northern-ireland/#:~:text=RANGERS midfielder Steven Davis made, with Bulgaria at Windsor Park.&text=That takes the former Southampton, former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton.
  23. An ex Saint but a special mention for Steven Davis who earned his 126th cap yesterday to beat Peter Shilton’s record.
  24. The vaccine programme is not just to protect the population. It’s also to protect the NHS. The vaccination plan is to protect those most likely to suffer if they get ill, not those most likely to catch the disease. In your example a teacher will get vaccinated if they are over 50.
  25. Black Beauty?
