  1. At home to Arsenal
  2. We are number two
  3. It's only 15:25. There's still a lot of the day left yet but if as someone above suggested they are waiting on the result of tonight's draw then I wouldn't expect a decision until tomorrow.
  4. Sometimes they explode before they hit the ground.
  5. The R rate is a broad average and what this example demonstrates is the variation in the K number which is a measure of the spread in how many other people any particular person infects. In this case there seems to be a super-spreader. Maybe there is something about this individual’s behaviour that causes the raised infections?
  6. Dickheads. How can it be a picnic if you don’t sit down? Isn’t this the same Force that employed drones to spy on people congregating in groups of one in the open countryside?
  7. Why not blame your auto-correct? I always blame my iPad. Sometimes I swear it even changes the text after I have posted it.
  8. I am certainly no expert but as you say it’s the post that becomes redundant and not the employee. I would have thought that the employer must provide an alternative employment of at least equal status and remuneration as the previous one. There are sources of help out there who are much more knowledgeable than me. ACAS for example.
  9. Thanks, you won’t be surprised to find that it’s a surprise to me
  10. "We were storming The Capitol, it's a revolution and I got maced" (to paraphrase) Well, yeah, derbrain.
  11. Then the 4th round becomes the 3rd round.
  12. Bugger. If true then I might have to talk to my missus on Saturday night.
  13. We read this in my German evening classes. "Crying strictly forbidden"
  14. But it's one of the best ways to make money out of it.
  15. That sort of contact has historically never been considered as handball and only under a short term madness was it penalised as such. Modern penalty interpretations are a scourge on the beautiful game and when a supposedly ‘great team’ like Liverpool have to resort to specious arguments when they can’t even get close to scoring a goal you know that madness has descended upon us.
  16. Mine too That is, my two too. Credited to my credit card yesterday and showing up today.
  17. Yes indeed, that’s what I was trying to point out.
  18. That’s why you normally pack the bench with insurance. In the good old days there weren’t any substitutes.
  19. another way of looking at it, https://www.dumpert.nl/?selectedId=8040397_1c4cbcf2
  20. The normal maxim is always play your strongest team but in this case it should be do just enough to get through. A cup run would give us a chance to give the less experienced players a run out and for the senior players to get over injuries.
  21. Yes, I guess so but it’s all guesswork at the moment. Of course the programme for new patients will be running in parallel with the programme for booster jabs after a couple of months. What a logistical nightmare.
  22. That's my concern about the delay to the second booster jab. If the first is only about 65% effective then there is a period of a couple of months during which the recipients can catch and spread the virus and possibly even be developing another mutation.
  23. Romeu has a tendency to pick up yellow cards, usually when he is overstretching to win back the ball. From what little I has seen so far I have high hopes for Diallo.
  24. A cynical approach would have been to get booked and have a rest for Shrewsbury.
