  1. Yes, it’s a difficult decision and I don’t envy them for it. It’s just that I’m not convinced that these lockdowns are as effective as they think they are. What we need are warm weather and widespread vaccination.
  2. There comes a point when we can’t necessarily expect a hospital bed if we need it. We need to know how successful the hospitals are about ‘curing’ the sufferers. We get given the figures for hospital admissions but not those for length of stay nor cure percentages.
  3. Then why have them if you can’t staff them?
  4. Out of interest, how many beds have been used in the Nightingale Hospitals?
  5. Thanks. I await my Christmas bonus some later next week then. Or maybe next year.
  6. Pah! That’s nothing. I haven’t played a game for nearly forty years so I must be even more rested
  7. Well that much is true. Not necessarily the government but Google will.
  8. Who has he blinded this time?
  9. That’s good news. May I ask if it was into a bank account or onto a credit card? My card refund is not showing up but it normally takes a few days to appear.
  10. Thanks for your kind thoughts. My daughter used to come with me 30 years ago the she went to Reading University which was close enough to come back for home games and on the way to most away ones. She’s now living nearby with three kids of her own and she would come to a few games again. Have the best Christmas that circumstances allow and let’s hope for a more sensible 2021.
  11. At my age that’s by no means certain. My grandson will be at university by then so that’s the end of our shared experiences. And all for what? No lives were saved by these measures.
  12. Well it hasn’t worked so far. There’s too much talk about protecting the NHS. What about protecting the public? The tail is wagging the dog. Just let us all take responsibility for our own safety and try to get on with living a life. We’re stacking up problems for our health, wealth and livelihoods.
  13. To retain my seats. Best position in the stadium.
  14. So what? The real quests ‘is it more dangerous?’ You can’t control a virus. You don’t prevent dying by stopping people from living.
  15. Waste of time. Just give me my money back now and hope to start again next season. If I live that long.
  16. What’s worse about it?
  17. Load of incompetent dickheads. All those areas that behaved responsibly are now being lumped in with all the irresponsible little shits. I didn’t vote for them but a fat lot of good that does us.
  18. I have just received two emails telling me that I have been unsuccessful for the West Ham game. At this rate we will be the last two successful applicants.
  19. I called them last Tuesday and was told that the Man U and Sheff U were being processed then. I'm still waiting. Do you think there is any further point in contacting them at the moment?
  20. No, it does not say when the refunds were applied nor when we could expect the money to be in our accounts. "The club can confirm that all pro rata refunds to 2020/21 Season Ticket holders for the home matches against Sheffield United and Manchester United have now been completed.Payments may take up to five working days to appear depending on your banking provider. Supporters who have a refund that has failed to process automatically have been sent an email directly."
  21. I'm still waiting too
  22. The Laws say ‘kick or attempt to kick’
  23. After trampling on our chances on the way out.
  24. Yes we do. Allegedly.
  25. I'm still waiting for both Man Utd and Sheffield Utd for two tickets
