  1. No, too risky. Would you buy a car that had been in an accident the day before? More to the point, would he have been fully committed if a deal had been agreed and he knew that he was leaving next day?
  2. I've gone for a Bosch, should arrive tomorrow. All I've got to do then is fit it
  3. Very poignant. I have a signed copy of the book 'The Mirror Caught The Sun' by the comedian John Martin. He has taken a great interest in this story and has visited the sites many times and spoken to some of those involved. http://www.johnmartincomedy.com/5.html There's a bit more about him here: http://www.johnmartincomedy.com/6.html
  4. The arms are expliciitly excluded by The Laws when considering offside, but I think Yoshida is more offside than onside anyway. I have no problems with the decision.
  5. That would have been harsh, in my opinion.
  6. Vardy could very easily have avoided any contact and the movement of his feet was not natural immediately before treading on Virgil's ankle. It was a ball that he had no chance of reaching. About as much an accident as driving your car into a brick wall.
  7. I watched my recording last night. It look like a petulant two-footed stamp. Worthy of further investigation in my opinion.
  8. Too soon to say, surely.
  9. Went with the travel club to Blackburn many years ago. We got there quite early so I walked for about a mile and a half along the Leed & Liverpool canal past several locks. Very interesting. Did much the same at Blackpool and Southend. A half hour walk away from the ground and you'll see a lot of interesting stuff. My sister used to have a newspaper shop in Haringey, not far from White Hart Lane but she sold that long ago so I wouldn't bother going there now. If you can be bothered to walk to the North Middlesex Hospital then you can see my birthplace. I don't think they've got around to putting a blue plaque there yet
  10. 'Replace him' might mean replace from within?
  11. Or perhaps he might not have tried such a pass had we not been winning 3-0?
  12. I liked the way that he was directing our midfielders to their defensive positions late on when we had a corner.
  13. They let in three yesterday and we scored three today. Obviously we are going to win 3-0
  14. During those few minutes Leicester seemed to be concentrating on lobbing balls towards him. He was hobbling slightly all the time and after a few jumps and headers couldn't carry on.
  15. He didn't actually flag, not that I could see. There was a strange lack of reaction and celebration when the ball went in the net and it looked to us to be an own goal. The two officials are miked up so they don't need signals between themselves. Indirect free kick was the result in any case. Regarding the match, surely nobody could say anything negative about anybody? Much better attitudes all round, all very positive. Yoshida took no chances and launched the ball upfield if in doubt. JWP put in some wicked first time balls behind their back four, only a couple of instances of playing it backwards when there were more adventurous options. This was what a Saints performance should be.
  16. Good choices.
  17. It will take ten games or so for him to get up to speed. By then the season will be almost over.
  18. Good points. Those going to Liverpool are glory-hunters. Those who went last Wednesday are the true supporters. (Guess which match I went to and which I shall be missing )
  19. If we boo him that might fire him up to run that little bit faster, go into tackles that little bit stronger, maybe even get a goal. If we're nice to him, however, that might make him relax a little, feel a bit guilty, do just enough but no more. Your choice.
  20. He might not get a game.
  21. What about the promotion matches?
  22. Correct - Burnley 3-1 That is very scary
