No problems, it happens to all of us I'm sure, or at least I hope, that someone is analysing the figures. A few hundred is not a lot and it may be that the revenue is the same or higher. There are a lot of possible factors, dates of matches, i.e. Christmas/Easter period, TV exposure, pricing...
-
Yeah, I did. Are all factors the same, segregation, corporates, seating plan, number of televised games, and that sort of thing? The figures look very similar to me but I expect the pricing has a lot to do with it.

'Sold out' an 'full' are not the same thing, I guess. What exactly is the maximum for a standard league game?

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-0 Everton
Whitey Grandad replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Indeed. It shows the value of keeping a clean sheet. -
Wasn't today a sell-out? I know people who wanted tickets but couldn't get any, it was just singles only a few days ago. My daughter tried to buy 4 a week ago and they didn't have any.

Anybody concerned that we haven't actually scored for three games? -
There's nothing more I can add. All these and more, a great steady pro.

That was the only one that could have been. At the time I thought it was a clear penalty but this was a day when things went right for us. A booking was a bit harsh though.
-
And he needs to play to the whistle. A couple of tines today he stopped playing and stood with his hand in the air.
-
And the silly kick-off times. I'm sure they've been worse this season.

Bovvered? I ain't bovvered.

Chelsea openly admit to playing a weakened team on sunday

Only 44? I thought it was a lot more god help us if they win it, all along I've been assuming that one of the others would overhaul them. -
Out of interest, what does the map for Norway look like? Blue parrots everywhere?
-
Not so Sir, I happen to agree with you.

Try telling that to their parents.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)

And, of course, the higher concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is a large factor in the increased crop production. -
Minus the VAT, agents' fees, golden goodbyes...

Man riding down mountain on bike - mental!!!!
Whitey Grandad replied to Spudders's topic in The Lounge
Hmm... man riding uphill would have been more impressive What's the point? The best that can happen is that you get back where you started in the same condition as when you left. The same applies to parachuting, skydiving, potholing, Russian roulette... -

Very good Quite a few years ago I saw a programme about the world's energy needs and for an American production it was quite balanced. It looked at biofuels and solar farms and concluded that we would need to dedicate about 16% of the world's land surface to it. To put this into perspective they said that this was also the proportion of land area that was currently used for agriculture. Apparently nothing comes close to matching the energy-producing density of a typical power station. -
Lallana's taken a while to reach his present level and from what I can remember wasn't playing regularly to start with. I suppose initially I viewed him in the same way as all those other youngsters who started playing the odd game for us before eventually being shipped out to pastures new, in some cases never to be heard from again. If he were to leave now he'd leave a big hole in our team but in his early days I think we would have got over it quite quickly. Le Tissier is a unique case. I never really thought that he would leave although I suppose the closest came in 1992 at the end of the season. I've always been wary about forming emotional attachments and as far as our academy is concerned I suppose I view it somewhat like someone who breeds horses to sell. Don't make pets out of any of them.

RESTORE OUR RIGHT TO PRIORITY TICKETS FOR HOME GAMES - PLEASE!!!!!

Thanks, apology accepted -
I enjoy it but I am a realist Logic doesn't come into it when emotions are involved. I cannot get emotionally attached to anyone who probably isn't going to stick around. I'm a realist and I've seen it all before. Young lad comes through the ranks, looks exciting, makes mistakes but we make allowances for that because he's still learning, and then he's off for bigger bucks at a bigger club. I've enjoyed his performances this season although there have been a few mistakes in positioning. I don't think our home form has been particularly good, to be honest. Me too, but once he's gone we'll hardly hear a mention of Southampton and the role we played. How many people know that Shearer started his career here? I'm not depressed about the situation, just resigned to the fact that if anybody is any good then they won't be hanging around for very long.
