The problem was VAR. Didn’t intervene for the Onuachu incident, presumably because Taylor had a clear view of it, yet stuck its oar in for the Vardy one.
-
Yep. I remember the corner being given at 97:03 and in that situation as soon as any defender gets something on the ball the final whistle blows. So why leave three Leicester players unmarked on the edge of our box?
-
He was the wrong player to be on the bench let alone the pitch.
-
Please God no. He won’t do it twice.
-
We gave him the freedom of the pitch. He had twenty yards to himself way out on their right wing.
-
As it happened the treatment wasn’t particularly quick but the referee is not going to know that when the treatment begins.
-
I’ve struggled to find an explanation but from Law 5, (there are other exceptions) Exceptions to the requirement to leave the field of play are only when: a player is injured as the result of a physical offence for which the opponent is cautioned or sent off (e.g. reckless or serious foul challenge), if the assessment/treatment is completed quickly

Troo dat, but the origins l premise was that it was the passing principle that led directly to the goal.
-
Just the one goal though. Far too close for comfort and Dan James did hit the underside of our bar later on. How many more goals might we have scored with a more active approach?
-
We’re doomed.
-
Exactly. My support comes with a precondition of trying to win a game. I don’t want to be a part of Egohead’s vanity project.
-
Clearly good enough? We only just scraped through.
-
Don't ask me. I can't make sense of any of these mini triangles.
-
They are not there to watch us. In this league we are Christians who are only there to feed the lions.
-
It’s the antithesis of good football. In general, keep the ball as far away from your own goal as possible and as close as you can to your opponent’s.
-
Calm down Lucy.

The “getting us promoted” bit is irrelevant to the argument. We know Martin and his preferred style of football, we know (and knew) that it doesn’t work in the Premier League, we know that he’s not going to change. He’s had eight games and he’s lucky to have had those. Appointing someone new is not a gamble if that person is properly researched. And there’s the rub.

Works for me
-
The money doesn’t come from the UK. The Premier League has become what it is because of the fare eastern monies.
-
Because the football under Martin is shit. It is an effort to keep turning up to home games knowing that the enjoyment of the occasion is missing.
-
Especially since it could lead to the end of a very promising career.

I admire your optimism. I am convinced that this current system is not going to get us anywhere in this League. We might fluke a win but the feeling that I get from Saturday is that of a lower division team playing against one of the elites of this country in something like a cup game.

Then it should be stamped out. And it will be. Literally. Constant battering of the shins damages the periosteum and leads to long term problems. Shin pads don’t have to be the sort that we old un’s remember from our childhood. There are plenty of lightweight designs that offer good protection without being restrictive.
