IMO, now Forest are safe they will probably sign DMcG.

No, I stayed in the Kingsland stand and saw somebody in the Away section light it, then throw it. I thought there was a second one thrown but it seems it was the same one after it had been thrown back at them.
-
Better than that is that the Press also know F-all. As I've said on a previous thread Mark Fry is the most professional person to be associated with this club in years.

Hot Legs?!! Sorry! Couldn't resist.

I would imagine that very few outside the administrators and the bidders themselves, actually know and those that do have been sworn to secrecy.
-
Also told South Today. If I were a betting man, my hunch is that Souness is involved.
-
I was thinking more of a merger than a takeover, in the same way, Havant and Waterlooville, Rushden and Diamonds, Dagenham and Redbridge and Lymington and New Milton have in the past.
-
I don't like them either but IMO nothing will ever get under way, without them (or their legal entity).
-
I think if Saints' do go out of business (god forbid), instead of starting a completely new SFC from scratch and having to start from the bottom of the football pyramid, the Saints' Trust/fans/SOS etc. should make a takeover bid for Eastleigh and change their name to Southampton and Eastleigh United. That way we start off in the Conference South (or Conference if they make it through the play offs).

It could be a plan to keep the FC in business, to enable the new buyers enough time to dot the i's and cross the t's?

But he also said "So the season could end on a high after all!"

Probably have to be adhered to until SLH is actually wound up.

The "Inform Mark Fry: Lowe, Askham return is unacceptable" thread

But Scott is the only likely bidder that would still have Lowe anywhere near the club. All the rest can't stand him! -

We can't tell Fry anything. He is working on behalf of the creditors and will get the best deal for them. -
At Eastleigh, yesterday for Dave Hughes' testimonial.

Reminds me of another film title, rhyming with Keepmoat!

Mike Jones - Saturday's ref to exagerate pitch invasion?

They nearly scored from a cross after the ball clearly went out for a throw-in Kingsland side. However, it was the other lino that didn't give Alexander (I think it was him, the Gypo with the hair band) offside, when he was at least a yard off for their second goal. May be he didn't think he was interfering with play because he got beaten in the air at the far post LOL. -
TBH I'd make him captain next year. The sort of player that leads by example.

He also paid the costs and the wages of the Guthrie loan, a couple of seasons ago.

How much money would we need to re-build for premiership?
krissyboy31 replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Grrrr wrong team!!! Hull City lease the KC Stadium from the stadium management company, of which they are a shareholder. It was built by money donated by the city council after the floatation of Kingston Communications. The City Council are the other major share holder of SMC, with Hull FC (the Black and Whites) also holding a lesser share. -

One of the advantages of losing the majority of the players we have, is that a new manager can come in and assemble a team to do a job for us in League 1. Some of our younger academy players will thrive at a slightly lower level, like they have shown when being loaned out. But some of the billy big boots, who think they should be in the prem, and "too good" for league 1, will have gone and will be replaced with players that we have probably never heard of. I personally don't think that is necessarily an expensive option, as long as we back the manager and do not get too impatient. Building and not trying to do things too quickly is the key, for me. -

But with that argument, even more time should be added, not less. -
I have not been in putting money I can't really afford, to help keep this club afloat, only for the main architect of the clubs demise to return on the cheap. That will be it for me.

I was talking with my brother when Wotton was being treated and noting that the players were shaking hands and that Surman and James had slumped to the ground, said that the final whistle must have been blown. His reply was that it can't have done because he reset his stopwatch from the end of the 90 mins and there was at least a minute still to go. -
Perry Groves in a Saints' shirt? That's something you don't see everyday!
