From 2002-06 I paid £1300 a year, including whilst I was on placement. I now have a student loan being taken at 140 a month. I don't really notice it in all honesty. Back to the protests. I was there last night, but only due to the fact I was working late (on the 4th floor of Topshop no less) and I couldn't really got out. What struck me most when I got out the back entrance and talking to students was how they didn't understand that the fees weren't payable up front. It was pathetic. These people weren't Uni quality anyway. ****ing idealistic socialist ****s. Man up, ****s.

As a player behind the scenes or a coach he'd be outstanding, would be happy to see him on our backroom staff.

I also think the issue is what people perceive to be racist or homophobic. A lot of the time the problem isn't with the original statement, it is to do with the perceived intention of that statement by the person being offended. For instance, in Scrubs, JD calls Turk 'Brown bear'. Is that racist? some will say yes, and some will say no, but if you watch the program there isn't even the slightest thought that it could be racist. Difficult subject as how offensive a statement can be is judged with the eye of the beholder.
