The missus has been offered a job there, and as she earns a considerable amount more than me, I feel it is only prudent we go. However, I have heard some good and bad things about it, and was wondering if anyone had ever lived or spent considerable time over there. Any recommendations on areas to look etc would also be a help. Also, what kind of holiday etc do you generally get over there, working hours etc? I know holiday is usually substantially less over there. Muchos gracias.

Imo, no. But only because there was too much messing around early on in the season. If Cortese wanted Pardew out it should have happened in May instead of not backing Pardew fully in the Summer.

It's my missus birthday too. Last year we went to Kuti's on Oxford Street and he was there with Frannie and Richard Bland (my old golf pro). Spent most of the evening looking on in awe. Kinda spoilt the missus birthday, but she did choose the restaurant.
