  1. Yes, there was. But I'm guessing a lot of folk in this away end are far too young to remember him.
  2. Nice to have a 2 goal cushion at HT. We're by far better, like we were in the home game, but Rovrum are capable of threatening so we need another goal to make it comfortable. Weirdly, there's no clock in this ground so you can't see the match time. There's a big screen with a running ribbon showing live scores elsewhere and replays of goals/chances, but no scoreboard or timer. We only knew it was 45 mins when the 4th official announced the stoppage time. Very odd. Gerry Forrest doing the raffle draw on the pitch at HT!
  3. Just email the Admins and ask them to change it for you. You won't lose any posting history.
  4. Time to change your username then perhaps?
  5. Like the look of that. Should be far too much for Rovrum. Great to see Edozie back on the bench.
  6. Leeds' win last night has put some extra pressure on today to get the win. I just hope we can replicate the first 20 minutes or so at Swansea and get a comfortable early lead from it. Looking forward to this. Never been to New York before 😉
  7. Italian is much easier for native Spanish speakers to learn than English is, as there is a fair degree of mutual intelligibility between the two.
  8. I think we know which version of CW has logged in this morning 😉
  9. It's not you. He's just a simple farmer. "I can't read, and I can't write, but that don't really matterrrr"
  10. Indeed. We were very dominant when we played them at SMS, but it was not long after our terrible September form and we were still adapting to RM's tactics and struggling to kill teams off. We've improved massively since then (if you ignore the poor performance of our reserves in the first half on Sunday), and have become much more ruthless. Rovrum are a very poor team, with much less quality than Swansea. They are bottom of the league with a GD of -27. I'll be very surprised if they manage to stop us scoring more than once.
  11. Like a modern day Matt Oakley.
  12. She did, thanks 😊
  13. Enjoyable game so far. We clearly have more skillful players and apart from a 10 minute spell after we scored Utd haven't really threatened.
  14. Goal disallowed for offside already.
  15. Yeah he did. Good on him.
  16. Made a massive faux pas while watching the final with my Mrs last night. **SPOILER ALERT** During the final banishment, when it was obvious that Harry and Jaz would vote for each other, I turned to my wife and said "So it's all in Mollie's ha... ohh shit 😳 "
  17. Is that ACE: Air Combat Emulator on the C64?
  18. I only live a stone's throw from Bramall Lane so I'm taking my 9yo daughter to watch our game there tomorrow. I see there's an outside chance of going top if we win and other results go our way. I'm trying to look up the teams' relative recent form, but it's evidently hard to find info about the women's championship outside of the clubs' OSs. And we've only played 3 league games in the last 2 months anyway. Looking forward to it though. Anybody who watches regularly got any thoughts on chances/prediction for the game?
  19. Exactly. If he had stayed there was a chance that SR might have decided he would be decent in the Championship and kept him on. The guy is a loon and was a total embarrassment to our club. Even if he'd managed to get a few good results if he hadn't been sacked when he was, there was no way he could repair the damage he had already done to his relationship with the fanbase. He had to go.
  20. It took me a while to realise that the thread title is referring to the date of the game, and not some crazy odds being offered on us to win!
  21. Then your definition of clear differs from mine. If it was the other way round, I would only say we were clear if we had a gap that couldn't be overcome by dropping points in a single game. Make no mistake, given how much we have closed the gap since mid December, Ipswich are the ones feeling the pressure now, not us.
  22. Yeah it was a scrappy end, but I think Russ took a calculated risk, given that we had a 3-1 lead, to make some changes and give game time to players who need it. Stephens was at fault a couple of times with some very poor passes that led to Swansea chances, and Rothwell looked understandably rusty which meant we lost the control of the midfield we had until then. RM will have learned from this, and I don't imagine he will make those changes in tighter games against stronger opponents.
  23. I wouldn't describe being one point ahead with a worse GD 'clear' by any stretch of the imagination.
  24. It was only just over a month ago that we were 12 points behind Ipswich, and many on here had already written off our chances of overtaking them. Our form over the last 15 games is significantly better than that of Leicester, Ipswich or Leeds. Keep that form up between now and when we play Leicester at theirs on 16 March, and a win there could see us overtake them.
