  1. I have it on very good authority the entire squad was out getting smashed at a club in Manchester til the early hours after the game on Thursday. I seriously doubt they will be getting any change out of Arsenal who still need a win to have any chance of securing a CL spot.
  2. "What you don't want to do is concede another 9 goals". That'll fire them up I reckon.
  3. Kit Cunthouse showing himself to be an even bigger bellend than even I thought possible... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/may/19/dont-let-people-off-if-they-steal-food-in-desperation-minister-tells-police-kit-malthouse According to him, criminal behaviour leads to poverty, not the other way round.
  4. Yeah fair enough. They left it a bit late in the season to start showing it though. That run they went on from October was worse than anything we have managed in recent years. But let's be honest, even in the games they have won recently they have looked mostly terrible and ridden their luck a bit, like beating Utd with their only shot on goal that took a wicked deflection. They've got a big transfer window coming up now. They are very limited in what they can spend due to FFP, and Richarlison (who has probably kept them up single-handedly) will be off this summer guaranteed, as will DCL most likely as well. They will need to spend whatever they get for those two very wisely.
  5. I've not looked at the bookies' odds but I would say Leeds have more chance of getting a win against Brentford than Everton do away at Arsenal.
  6. 0-2 now! Just need Burnley and Leeds to do their bit now.
  7. Jesus - that clearance from Macca 😬
  8. I guess we're just trying to avoid a repeat of the Chelsea game. We tried to take the game to them and got slaughtered.
  9. Well at least our goals to shots ratio is decent for a change.
  10. Why no FK for a high boot there?
  11. They all do sometimes, and sometimes they will save them as well. Macca lets them in every single time, without exception.
  12. McCarthy beaten at his near post from a very tight angle. Never saw that coming.
  13. Might have been given as a foul but it's about time one of these things went in our favour. Remember the goal Spurs scored after Tino was absolutely clattered from behind in the build up?

  15. I doubt we'll get to find out any time soon 😉
  16. She's obviously never heard of the Streisand effect. Why am I not surprised.
  17. Hudds through to the playoff final then.
  18. That tackle was Gobern-esque.
  19. They will probably still stay up but I wouldn't rule out Burnley beating Villa which would make for a very interesting last day.
  20. Everton down to 9!
  21. Assuming they lose this, that would require them to get some sort of result away at Arsenal on the final day and I just can't see it personally. Especially if they have already secured safety by beating Palace in midweek.
  22. So you agree with my point that it all comes down to personalities rather than policies then. Good stuff.
  23. I'm just making the point that anybody who believes a single word that comes out of Johnson's mouth, and thinks he's a nice man who can be totally trusted to serve the interests of the UK, has to be a bit simple.
  24. Apologies for quoting myself here but it felt like the best way to make the point. Jack Monroe is now suing Lee Anderson for libellous comments he made about her in an interview. Good on her. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/may/15/food-writer-jack-monroe-sues-tory-mp-claims-she-makes-fortune-poor-lee-anderson
  25. Labour do have better, more popular policies. Numerous blind surveys over recent years repeatedly show that Labour's policies are more popular with the public than the Tories' are. Unfortunately, it's not policies that win elections; it's personalities. People like Johnson, Trump etc.. are very good at telling the public exactly what they want to hear, and enough of the electorate are gullible enough to be taken in by their populism.
