  1. I think we're all hoping it was a one-off, caused by the fact that Shields jumped ship in the autumn and we had no head of recruitment in place for the January window, meaning Ankersen was forced to take charge of it. Thankfully, it seems with Wilcox here now we can be confident we won't have a repeat of such a disastrous window.
  2. I think this just highlights the issue here though: that Sully doesn't seem to care which club he's playing for as long as he is in the promised land of the PL. He was happy to sign a nice fat contract with us in January, despite us being bottom of the table with a total basket case of a manager.
  3. Another dreadful piece of "journalism".
  4. OK so I watched the video. The book referred to is aimed at kids aged 10 and over (the pastor literally says that in his interview), and at no point during this clip is Joe Biden's name even mentioned. So how exactly does that answer my question?
  5. Was just going to post similar. It's just a load of speculative click-bait bollocks.
  6. I don't 'support' Biden, because I'm not American and I don't have a horse in this race, but just because I think Trump is an unhinged lunatic with the emotional intelligence of a toddler, you assume I do and thus dismiss anything I say on that basis. Therefore, it is a strawman argument because you are attacking a position that I'm not defending. And anyway, when did Biden say he thinks kids as young as 6 should be taught about sex? I agree, that is too young, but I can't find any evidence that this ever even happened. So it looks like it's yet another strawman argument. At least you're not even pretending to have even the slightest degree of objectivity here. You're obviously so heavily blinkered by your blatant political bias that it's really not worth even trying to address these two ridiculous claims at face value. Are you quite sure about that?
  7. I don't really give a shit about his motivation. He's contracted to us, and he knew when he signed we were probably going to be relegated, therefore it was always likely he would be playing in the Championship this season. He did nothing in his few appearances last season to suggest this level is truly beneath him. He's our record signing, so we're not going to let him go for peanuts. Nor should we just loan him out to whoever wants him just because he couldn't see the inevitable in January. Either he accepts that and gets his head down and plays, or he can mope around while still picking up his sizeable salary.
  8. This is just a nonsense strawman argument. This thread isn't about Joe Biden, it's about Donald Trump. Just because many people recognise him for what he is - a lying, corrupt, morally-bankrupt, narcissistic psychopath - doesn't necessarily mean they automatically support his opponent in the last election. If you want to ask about people's opinions on Biden, he has his own dedicated thread here. You were the one who made the claim that Trump ran the country (and the world 😕) better than Biden ever could. Why don't you support your case with some evidence of what Donny did that was so good? Then we can have a proper debate about it.
  9. As was Dominic Gape, and doing very well by all accounts but hampered by injuries for the last 3 seasons. Seems he was released this summer. Most recent article I can find says he was training with Stockport County in July but is still without a club for the time being.
  10. I expect he'd feel right at home in Ocean Village as well.
  11. Ah. Didn't realise. Yeah that could be problematic, especially if we do sell Che and he is being signed as the replacement.
  12. I've done it plenty of times since I moved up north. Not going to Sunderland this weekend, but hopefully be going to Boro in a few weeks time.
  13. Is he still injured then?
  14. This could just be a classic Mourinho style tactic of unsettling a player with a transfer rumour just before he's about to play against us.
  15. I trust we would do a thorough medical before agreeing to sign him. Many people on here told us Ings would be a waste of money because he was a busted flush following his major injuries. Our medical team obviously knew better.
  16. That was my one and only trip to the SoL. Went with a Geordie mate, who got quite drunk before the game. He couldn't understand why we kept singing "Sunderland", and I had to explain to him that we were actually signing "Southerners".
  17. Yes, you're right.
  18. Holgate is limited. He only got the minutes he did last season and the season before because of lengthy injuries to Yerry Mina. He has been a major part of Everton's defensive woes in recent times, and is just as error-prone as all our other CB options. Having watched a lot of Everton for the last 2-3 seasons, I've seen him make some absolute howlers at times. The only saving grace is that those errors are less likely to be punished at this level than they are in the PL.
  19. Are you sure your friend didn't just give you out of date sausages?
  20. I didn't watch the game so can't comment on his overall performance, but I did notice on the highlights there was a moment in the second half where he lost the ball after receiving a hospital pass from Bednarek, while surrounded by 3 QPR players, and he absolutely busted a gut to get back and attempt to block the resulting shot. I know it's only one moment, but it shows some steel and committment to me, and not the actions of someone who doesn't want to be here...
  21. He's already selling official mug shot mugs for $30 a piece. There's a sucker born every minute I guess.
  22. You previously shared a self-published paper co-authored by Willie Soon (along with Ronan and Michael Connolly)... https://www.desmog.com/willie-soon/ In his own words: "In the past, I have received scientific research grants from Exxon-Mobil Foundation, Southern Company and the Charles G. Koch Foundation for my work on various topics, including scientific research on the Sun-climate connection".
  23. Or Leicester?
