  1. The meltdown on there after losing from being 2-1 up in stoppage time makes this forum look calm and rational 😂
  2. He did originally, until it became obvious that there was evidence to the contrary.
  3. I don't think anyone is suggesting for a second that he wrote them himself, but he was the one who stood at that briefing platform and told the entire nation what the rules were. For him to now claim that nobody warned him the party was against the rules suggests he is either a) a liar or b) an imbecile who shouldn't be anywhere near the levers of power in Government. Either way, he has to go.
  4. He's been great for us but he isn't irreplaceable. All depends what kind of fee we could get for him I suppose. I know for a fact he's not happy at losing his place. If he wants to leave and we can get decent money for him and sign an adequate understudy for Tino, I don't think it would necessarily be a bad thing.
  5. I very much doubt we would be looking to spend £15m on temporary cover for Tino. More likely that KWP will be looking to move on, having lost his starting place to a teenager, and we're eyeing up a potential replacement for him.
  6. I know this will never happen because PMQs is nothing more than a pointless pantomime that serves only to highlight how backward looking our entire political system is, but I would love it if, just once, the speaker actually stood up and insisted that the mealy mouthed word salad that just passed the PM's lips is in no way relevant to the actual question put to him and that he must give a more satisfactory answer before being allowed to move on.
  7. What with injuries and AFCON, I had completely forgotten about him TBH. Showed a bit of potential in his early games - his solo goal at Sheff Utd was outstanding - but he's never lived up to it. A strange player in that he often looks like he's having a really good game and causing all sorts of problems, but his end product is non-existent. Wouldn't be at all bothered if he was offloaded.
  8. Liverpool Echo are reporting that Everton have interviewed Rooney (as well as Lampard) for the vacant position, so there's a good chance Derby will be looking for a new manager soon as well. I was there in 2007 and, yes, it hurt. But I won't dismiss them completely because of the actions of a small minority of their fans. They are a similar sized club to us (the stadiums are virtually identical) and it would be very sad if they were to go out of existence completely. Best outcome would be if a points deduction sent them down and Wycombe get promoted (they are currently top of L1). Justice will have been served if that happens IMO.
  9. Are neutral fans less likely to be knowledgeable or interested in Southampton than Man Utd? Hmmmm. Let me think now.... 🤔
  10. Wouldn't be any good to us anyway if he's always suspended.
  11. Crazy. Just when exactly do they expect to fit these games in?
  12. Rumours doing the rounds on Twitter that Brands could now return. Farcical.
  13. It was Marcel Brands for a few years, but he left earlier in the season. Many fans felt he had too much influence and didn't work well with the manager, but if anything they've got worse since he left.
  14. £500m spent on transfer fees since 2016 and still their best player is an academy graduate. Says it all.
  15. Another S. Armstrong in the squad would be too confusing for everyone.
  16. Benitez sacked. Announcement due tomorrow.
  17. Watching it back on MOTD, it looked like he took a ball full in the face moments before and he was trying to signal that he needed treatment when Traore ran past him. Can't blame Traore really. He's been on a massive goal drought so he's not going to let a minor thing like a head injury to the player marking him stop him from running through and scoring. Perhaps the ref should have spotted it and stopped the game though?
  18. He pulled up injured and needed treatment, otherwise he would have dealt with the ball to Traore comfortably.
  19. He was no worse than Redmond or Tella though. Even if it was his lack of involvement that prompted Ralph to hook him, there was no like for like replacement on the bench so a change of shape was the only option.
  20. I'm wondering if the HT shape change was forced. Diallo was playing OK first half so maybe he had an injury worry, but the lack of another CM on the bench meant Ralph had to reshuffle things a bit.
  21. Literally nobody on here has said that.
  22. Meh. Frustrating result but I'm not too downhearted. We weren't terrible by any means. Overall the performance wasn't as bad as the scoreline suggests, but one or two players didn't do enough - Redmond, Tella, Broja were completely ineffective. First goal was a travesty. Clear from one angle that Bednarek got the ball but VAR didn't show that angle to the ref on the monitor, Second goal is all on Forster. Absolutely hopeless goalkeeping. Pathetic. Third goal wouldn't have happened if Lyanco didn't pull up injured. JWP's free kick was out of this world and didn't deserve to be on the losing side. Draw a line under it and move on. And buy a new goalkeeper who won't fall to the side and invite a penalty taker to go the other way, and stand there looking bewildered when a looped free kick comes into the box.
  23. Not surprised. Yet another blatant dive from this bunch of cheating pricks.
  24. That would have been easily defended if Lyanco wasn't injured.
  25. What happened with Lyanco there? He just stopped. Is he injured?
