  1. How can Henderson even think about complaining about getting a yellow card for that? Ignoble pr!ck!
  2. If that's a foul on VVD then I'm the Queen of Sheeba. That's f*cking ridiculous from the officials. They will do absolutely anything to ensure Liverpool don't lose this won't they!
  3. Crowd sounding good tonight.
  4. That's not actually true though... https://www.edp24.co.uk/business/farming/farmers-struggling-to-recruit-eu-fruit-and-veg-pickers-says-nfu-1-5391153
  5. I seriously doubt it will take that long. Give it five years at most after we leave, when people get to see the material impacts of the economic downturn it will undoubtedly create and the government can no longer blame all our socio-economic problems on the EU and/or immigration.
  6. I don't think people are saying that as a definite. Just that of all the players currently out on loan, Boufal is the one with the most potential to improve as a result of Ralph's coaching and system, and that perhaps he should be given a chance before being written off completely.
  7. It's nothing to do with that. It's just basic decency towards other human beings. Anybody who thinks it's fair game to taunt someone about their upbringing in a public arena is a c*nt, plain and simple.
  8. You're right. They are too nasty. You'd have to be a special kind of c*nt to sing any of those to anyone.
  9. If we maintain our average of 1.5 points per game since RH took over, that would take us to 43/44 points. Bournemouth are currently 12th on 38, and they still have to play Burnley(H), Brighton(A), Fulham(H), Saints(A), Spurs(H) and Palace(A). I expect they will get more than 6 points from that lot. So we will need to improve our form considerably and win at least 4 of our remaining 7 games to overtake them. Palace still have to play Arsenal and Man City, but their other 4 games are winnable - Newcastle(A), Everton(H), Cardiff(A) and Bournemouth(H). If we assume two wins and two draws from that lot, it will take them to 42 points, but their GD is significantly better than ours. Newcastle's next two games - Palace(H) and Leicester(A) are winnable, but we could leapfrog them by beating them at SJP at Easter. They then finish the season with Brighton(a), Liverpool(H) and Fulham(A). We really need to win up there if we're going to overtake them IMO. I don't think we need to worry about Brighton. Their form has been poor recently and three of their last four games are against top six teams - Spurs(A), Arsenal(A) and Man City(H).
  10. Piers Morgan getting his stupid arse handed to him on Twitter is one of the most brilliant things you will read today... https://twitter.com/EmporersNewC/status/1113547733300842497
  11. No, I don't think so either. I was just pointing out that they are only above us now due to a +1 GD advantage - ie the narrowest possible margin.
  12. Bet365 have got us at 75/1 to go down now after last night's games.
  13. 3-0 Chelsea FT. Brighton just a +1 GD advantage over us now, but their next two league games are both at home, against Bournemouth and then Cardiff 4 days later.
  14. I doubt we will manage to overturn their GD advantage, so we will need 4 more points than them between now and the end of the season. They are away to Newcastle on Saturday, who we can also leapfrog (especially as we go there ourselves in a couple of weeks), so a draw there would suit us nicely.
  15. And there's number 3!
  16. Another couple of goals from Chelsea and we could leapfrog Brighton on GD.
  17. 2-0 City now. Hopefully Cardiff's GD will take a pounding tonight.
  18. It was mentioned a few times on the post-match thread. Which you obviously didn't bother reading because we won.
  19. Yeah, probably right. I'm just mindful that we put out a weakened team against them at home in December, knowing full well we wouldn't win, in order to rest key players for a more winnable game. But even with them playing they play their first 11 (and with Aguero being out injured), I would say the chances of them having significantly improved their GD over us by 10pm on Friday are pretty minimal.
  20. Ha! Reminds me of that video of the pro-Brexit protester trying and failing to set fire to an EU flag, due to it being non flammable thanks to EU safety rules.
  21. May's statement in a nutshell: I'm going to keep bringing my withdrawal agreement back to the commons and if it doesn't pass next time then it's all Jeremy Corbyn's fault. Utterly, utterly delusional.
  22. They are away at Citeh tomorrow night, and Warnock has already said he will play mostly U23s. Liverpool could beat us 10-0 and we would still have a very healthy GD advantage over Cardiff.
  23. It is true there are very few certainties surrounding the whole Brexit issue. But one thing that we can all say for absolute certain is that Trump and his administration will never sign up to any FTA with the UK that doesn't heavily favour US interests. To claim that any such suggestion is just 'project fear' would require a total inability or unwillingness to look at basic facts and evidence.
