BBC are reporting that he wants to come to us. If the rumours about him being at SMS for the Watford game are to be believed, then he has probably already agreed personal terms. This latest 'rejection' seems to me to be just a standard part of any negotiation. We want to pay amount X, Spartak want amount Y, and we'll end up agreeing an amount somewhere in between. Just look at the number of bids that Arsenal had turned down for Aubameyang before it finally happened today. I have no ITK credentials, but I'm fairly confident this will still happen. It seems to be too far down the line to fall through now.

It's also entirely possible that Spartak will agree to let him go for less than the amount specified in the release clause if they feel that it's still a good deal for them and the player makes it clear he wants to go.

Consistently breaking our transfer record..

We're still waiting for you to eat your own sh!t like you said you would if we made the playoffs in 2007 -
The only change I would make to this would be to swap Tadic and Boufal. Tadic is far more effective on the left and Boufal less so.

Aaaah, so. This is all making a lot more sense now. I'm struggling with the series on the whole though. There's lots to enjoy about it, but there are also some glaring plot holes and aspects which are just far too ridiculous. Obviously with any sci-fi there has to be a certain amount of suspension of disbelief, but all the previous incarnations of Trek at least had some degree of believability to them. This just feels a little too 'Hollywood' for my liking.

Oh yeah. Ooops. I didn't really follow the qualifying campaign very closely. I guess because I really don't give a sh!t about the world cup this year anyway. England will inevitably get knocked out by an average team, and I won't be watching be watching on principle because of the corruption at FIFA that saw Russia get awarded it in the first place.

His contract runs out in December, I believe. Perhaps Shandong Luneng (sp???) are looking to recover some of the transfer fee they paid and are trying to offload him before that. SSN reporting that he wants to be closer to Italy and also would like to try and make their world cup squad as well.

I didn't watch the game and have so far only had all the comments on here to go on. And it's got me thinking... Earlier in the season, Man U came to SMS and walked away with a 1-0 win after they took off an attacking player and went ultra defensive to counter our late onslaught. I don't seem to remember many people criticising Mourinho and calling him things like a tactically inept clown after that. I've been critical of Pellegrino at times this season, but credit where it's due. He recognised the change in the opposition tactics and adapted his own to defend it. If he hadn't made he change and Watford had got back in it, the very same people having a go at him now would still be having a go at him but for a different reason.

I was watching on a stream at home but it was very unreliable. Going into the final moments and Liverpool got a corner, and the stream froze and continually buffered with the Pool player about to take the corner. Next thing I know, I heard the goal sound effect from Bet365 which I had open in a separate window. My heart sank as I assumed that Liverpool had scored from the corner. When I clicked on the Bet365 tab to look at the update, it took me quite some time to register that it was us who had scored and not them!

What you have described is sleep paralysis, and is a completely different phenomenon from night terrors in children. My daughter (who turns 4 next month) has had it a few times but thankfully not too severely. As someone else mentioned, it's hard not being able to console her but she clams down eventually and never remembers in the morning. Hans made the point above about limiting the amount a kid can use ipads etc.. before bed. We always make a habit of reading to her every night instead of letting her watch stuff on the tablet, because I've read some research about using backlit screens right before bed being really bad for your sleep cycle so I always avoid it myself.

Or just do away with transfer windows completely.

Just what does Dembele have to do to get a card FFS!?
-
This is it in a nutshell. When given the right instructions and tactics, we have a squad that is easily capable of top half in this league. But if we stick with a manager that is incapable of using tactical nous to engineer a win from a leading position we will inevitably go down.
-
Ultimately, he was. We just had Aldeweireld on loan for a season in between.
-
I think what he is getting at is the fact that his departure from Saints ultimately resulted in us signing VVD from Celtic and bringing him to the attention of Liverpool, who have now signed him as a replacement for Lovren.
-
My bold... Herein lies the problem. We don't appear to have any of those in our team at the moment.
-
Really? I reckon that's one area where we are alright TBH. Cedric, Pied and any one of Yoshi, Stephens or Bednarek able to play there in an emergency seems to be perfectly good cover in that position. What about a goalscoring AM to replace the ever-fading Davis? What about a solid, international quality CB to replace VVD? What about a reliable 1st choice keeper? It seems that the club has got its priorities wrong... again!

The offside decision against Long was very harsh. He was closer to being onside than Benteke was in the build-up to Palace's equaliser on Tuesday
-
Should have been more than 1-0 cos we missed some really good chances (Stephens and Gabbi for instance). But WTF were those subs about? Boufal played OK from what I saw, so he takes him off to replace him with Powderpuff Redmond, who manages to misplace just about every single pass he attempted. Every single one of us on here could see that Davis was having a shocker, so he takes off our best midfielder instead. Waits until the last 10 minutes and Long has got cramp before replacing him with Gabbi. I'm happy that we won for a change, but f*ck me this guy just doesn't have a scooby-doo.
-
Stephens had to score that, surely!
-
Released from his contract? That's a shame, I thought the recent material from Chic was pretty good
-
That would infer that he actually knows what his best 11 is, when the evidence suggests he doesn't.
-
I see today on Twitter that Everton have agreed a deal with Beskitas for striker Cenk Tosun. Would this effectively end their interest in Walcott, leaving us in pole position to sign him?

So the more understanding, the less wisdom?
