Wow, those Hexstatic videos are awesome. I had the pleasure of seeing them do their live AV set at The Big Chill a few years ago and it's a proper spectacle, well worth going to see if you can get the chance.

My girlfriend's nephew plays for the Everton Academy under-12s team, and they always have the normal Chang logo on their kit when they play. Interestingly though, I saw a team photo the other day and as with anything in football these days there were display stands with sponsors logos all over the place. It looked like somebody had quite hurriedly printed the word 'SODA' underneath every mention of Chang. Maybe that's how they get around the law regarding it.

Wow Dinger! You've really answered my call there mate. I'll look forward to going through those later on today.

Some cracking tunes in that list Colin, but maybe I didn't make myself very clear. I want to move away from all that electronica stuff and cast my net much wider. I was thinking along the lines of some 60s/70s funk, or some really good 80s Hip hop, or maybe even some old lively jazz stuff like Benny Goodman etc...

He wasn't really known as a hard-man type player, but I seem to remember Franny Benali virtually assaulting John Fashanu at Plough Lane around 1990. He even had the nerve to appeal to the ref afterwards that it was a fair tackle!

Right, some people I know are putting on a mini festival for 250 people this July and I have, somehow, persuaded them to let me loose on the decks for a bit. Should be great fun. I've done a lot of DJing over the years and I always used to play single-genre stuff from the rave era onwards (house, techno, breaks etc...), but for this I want to do an eclectic mix of all sorts of stuff, from all different genres and different eras. I've got quite a few good tunes in mind I want to play already, but I need the help of you, the music-loving folk of TSW. What makes you dance? If you were drinking cider in field on a sunny summer afternoon, what tunes would make you get up and strut your funky stuff? All suggestions (within reason) considered.

In a balanced and fair society, you have to give equal credence to everyone, regardless of how distasteful their opinions might be. Most people are intelligent and thoughtful enough to realise when somebody is talking a load of bitter, sensationalist b*llocks, and don't need media censorship to make up their minds for them.

I'm sorry... If you have issue with what I posted then please at least tell me what it is so we can debate it properly. You could maybe start by answering the question if you like: What exactly do the EDL hope to achieve with their latest demonstration? Edit: Oh hang on, it's you isn't it... the self-confessed WUM. In which case, maybe don't bother responding eh.

Yeah this is key for me. It's all very well us splashing out a £20m transfer fee for one player, but Clubs like Man City, Chelsea etc... would have no problem throwing upwards of £100k a week at those kind of players, which we wouldn't even dream of.

My girlfriend had exactly the same thing recently. She went to the doctors and was told it was a viral problem that should settle down within a week or so, which it did. She's absolutely fine now, but she couldn't work for a few days. The doctor also prescribed some medication to ease the dizziness. I can't remember what it's called but it also used as an anti-psychotic because it calms certain areas of the brain associated with both psychotic tendencies and balance, apparently.

I give this thread another half an hour tops.

Indeed. That was the point I was trying to make.

On the flip side of that then Turks, why aren't you out demonstrating against the murder of an innocent British Muslim by racist extremists?... http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/may/02/birmingham-murder-racially-motivated-police And more to the point, what exactly do the EDL hope to achieve by their demonstration? It's not going to bring Drummer Rigby back is it.

This was posted elsewhere in response to a very thought-provoking article about the situation, and the author of it has requested that it be shared everywhere in the hope that it can help others to reflect on the consequences of the actions of the EDL and their ilk. I fully appreciate that the thought and emotion behind it will be lost on most of them, but it deserves everybody's attention.

I stopped reading your post after I got to this point, because it is utter, utter b8lllocks and displays a truly astonishing degree of ignorance. What you, and so many other it seems, seem completely unable to grasp is that Islam is not one single entity. Every single person who has either converted to it or was born into it has their own way of interpreting the verses and integrating that which they feel fits with their world view into their lives, in exactly the same way followers of other religions do. Take Christianity for example... If every Christian on this planet followed the teachings of the bible to the letter then they would all be murdering women for the heinous crime of having sex outside of marriage. How many Christians do you know who do that? I'm guessing none. The extremists no more represent the beliefs of Islam on the whole than the folk at The Westboro Baptist Church do for the rest of the Christian world. This is why I also couldn't bring myself to watch the rest of those video diaries you posted above, because although the guy does make some very valid points (particularly about the rulers of Saudi Arabia) he seems, as you do, utterly incapable of separating the person from the whole. This is summed up so much more eloquently than I could put it in this article... http://www.guardian.co.uk/global/2013/may/19/mohsin-hamid-islam-not-monolith

Please, everybody just ignore this trolling idiot. He admitted to me via PM the other day that he doesn't really know the guy who was in the process of selling his house in Bassett to Morgan and that he only claimed he did to pretend to be ITK. He's not worth a single second of anybody's attention. My thoughts exactly.

This is one of the unfortunate side-effects of being religious. It blinds you and makes you make ridiculous statements like this... http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/video-pat-robertson-blames-tornado-victims-not-praying

This is precisely my argument to those who see Christ and the bible as proof of his existence. If an omnipotent, all-knowing, all-loving creator being really wanted the world to know he existed so we might praise and worship him, he couldn't have chosen a worse way to do it really. Apparently we are to believe he sent his only son (in human form, of course) to spread his message and to sacrifice himself for all our sins, then buggered off - never to be heard from again. Yeah.... right! We are also supposed to believe that he sent a great flood to the world to cleanse it of evil. Well I hate to break it to you Mr god, but you didn't exactly succeed with that one did you. And surely if you really wanted to eliminate evil, being god and all, you could have come up with a much more effective way of doing it.

And the safe-standing that a lot of them have as well, I would imagine.

What I find very disturbing is that this thread is two years old. I remember it like it was only a few weeks ago!

Yes I had, but I didn't take that into account for the skates, so I guess that makes them 44th instead of 55th.
