Just before you posted that I was starting to wonder if it was time to "wheel out the big nuns"
-
That is a f*cking peach of a goal that is.
-
Do you have this on your clipboard all afternoon ready to paste at a second's notice?
-
Rickie Lambert you beauty!!!!!!!
-
No it hasn't
-
If Lambert had managed to stay on his feet then it would have been the easiest chance to score he will ever get.
-
Decent effort from Lallana there. Probably our best attempt so far.
-
Clyne coming on Chambers limping off. It's good we have such strong competition in that position.
-
You could just put him on ignore and stop quoting him so that the rest of us don't have to see his tedious bullsh*t.
-
Neither of them were exactly sitters. Give the guy a break.
-
Nobody is turning on anybody FFS. Wanyama has been out for 2 months and looks rusty. He doesn't have his usual physical presence in CM and is now in a yellow which will restrict his usefulness further. Cork has been in excellent form recently so making that switch seems like a no-brainer.
-
Great. Both our CMs on a yellow for innocuous looking fouls. Nice one ref.
-
Good save again from Boruc!
-
Fonte crossing to Yoshida. WTF!?
-
Yep. Harsh booking that.
-
73% possession so far according to BBC.
-
Just a little confused why the Beeb have chosen an action shot of a player who has now left us under controversial circumstances as the preview photo for this game... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25892225

Truth? The author of that document is a total fraud whose arguments and opinions have no basis in fact... http://www.carbonbrief.org/blog/2011/04/christopher-booker-says-climate-change-has-reversed-itself/ http://www.campaigncc.org/climate_change/sceptics/hall_of_shame http://www.theguardian.com/environment/georgemonbiot/2011/may/13/christopher-booker-misleading -

I have just one word for you in response to this..... Enron. -
Exactly. So why are you so insistent that because other teams have made signings, they have 'strengthened'? They might all turn out to be duds. Any signing is a gamble really, as has been proved with Osvaldo and, to a lesser degree, Ramirez. Unless you're a CL club that's spending upwards of £30m on a world-class player (and even then it's not guaranteed as Liverpool found out with Torres and Carroll) then you'll never truly know if that signing will integrate and improve your first 11. OK we haven't made any signings this window but we don't have any unknown entities in our squad either, and the departure of Osvaldo (and the way it has been handled by the club) will undoubtedly boost morale as well. People may well gripe that we have shipped out a striker without replacing him, but he wasn't doing the business anyway so it's not really a net loss is it.
-
But as the Forren signing during last January's window proves, bringing players in does not necessarily equate to strengthening.
-
Rival fans might have said the same thing about us last season when we signed Forren.

Excellent post Polaroid Saint. There are essentially two debates to be had regarding climate change... What is causing it, and what can we do to adapt to it? The first one has been done to death on here already, and as we have seen there are still many who bluntly refuse to accept the overwhelming body of evidence which suggests it is anthropogenic. The second one, however, is perhaps more important. The undeniable fact is that the planet is warming so, regardless of the causes, what do we do as a society to adapt to the changing climate? We saw in the news this week that the UK's environment secretary Owen Paterson has slashed the climate change budget in half, amid concerns that he is a climate skeptic. Whatever his motivations this is worrying, because we need to focus on the fact that the climate IS changing and implement appropriate adaptation policies, rather than continue to argue about what is causing it. -

No. Both the US and China are investing massively in solar technology, while India is leading the way with thorium-based nuclear reactors.
