It's been at least 3 hours now since the court approved Pompey's request for administration. Why haven't the FL deducted the 10 points yet? I realise they may be waiting to see if they can deduct any more, but they have rules that must be followed and there can be no doubt whatsoever that Pompey have now enacted an insolvency event which should immediately trigger a 10-pt deduction - regardless of what further deductions there might be.

You mean, if somebody were to contact the police and allude to the possibility that there may or may not be some kind of explosive device hidden somewhere on the premises, meaning they would have to evacuate the building while they conducted a thorough, room-by-room search? Just watched the highlights on Saintsplayer... Looked like a handball from Jos and maybe should have been a pen, but couldn't really tell if there was contact on Noble for the one they did get. Reaction of the Saints players suggests not. Not sure what the other 'dead cert penalty' that Fat Sam was on about was. Definite red card for Taylor - grabbed Sharp by the throat and shoved him. Doesn't matter how Sharp reacted (I don't think he overplayed it TBH but then I guess I am a bit biased) - it's violent conduct and a red card, end of. Can't believe Sharp didn't score when Green parried Lallana's shot. The whole goal to aim for and he basically passed it back to Green. Oh well, it happens - he will get goals for us I'm sure of that.

I agree with all of this but must take issue with the bit in bold. Is there some law somewhere that dictates we must have a main rival? Couldn't we just go back to the days before the hatred between us and Pompey erupted and we all got along nicely?

Bugger. Could and maybe should have won that given our possession and chances. But we've taken 4 points off them now and stayed within a point, and we have a good run of very winnable games coming up now so I reckon we can still overtake them.
