Oh dear, apparently I just ignored that Portsmouth existed at all
-
Yep, it is £64766. Just looked it up.

I bet they laughed at all his other jokes about other subjects and people which were probably just as offensive, but that's comedy... taking the ****. Reminds me of Isaac Hayes when he quite South Park. Happy to contribute to taking the **** out of every other religion under the sun, but when his cult(I refuse to call Scientology a religion) came round, he quit. Double standards to the extreme, and I expect the same is true here.

I do see the point of the first class thing, but it wasn't said in the right way by that Tory MP. To be honest, MPs are underpaid anyway and a solution to all this would be just to pay them double or triple what they earn and just let them get on with the job. The problem with the whole expenses scandal was that MPs were actively encouraged to take these expenses as their pay for what they are expected to do(note that, what they are expected to do) is extremely low. Most did not break any rules, and in my opinion some of the fuss thrown about over it is unjustified. So and so needs a second house, look how much x mp spent on travel , look how much x mp spent overall(most of which goes towards paying staff). Unless you just want only super rich people becoming MPs, people are gonna have to get used to the fact that democracy costs, and that if an MP lives in Scotland or Northern England, or even Southern England, to carry out the hours they are expected to carry out they are going to need a second home in London. The 65k they earn at the moment is not enough to support their whole job and the extra things they must do in order to be able to do their job properly. The way in which the press has leapt on some people who have really done nothing wrong ****es me off. That is not to say that MPs need moats, duck houses or whatever else to do their jobs, it's just a lot of people have been unfairly vilified. Now, that rant is probably totally off topic and irrelevant and I doubt anyone will actually read it, but oh well.

I've met Sandra Gidley and she seemed like a thoroughly decent person who was willing to work hard as an MP, and definitely not one of these career MP types. I would vote for her if I could.

I know right, I had to think hard, but I came up with something and so I am PROUD

My brother is getting out of there tomorrow, thank ****

Mmmmmm, I just think there were a few times if him and certain other players had passed(particularly puncheon), we could have got that 2nd goal. We won on the day in the end, but it's just frustrating I guess, like you said. On the other hand, by doing that kind of run he probably will make a goal or two, so I guess it can even out.

Fonté seemed to be the whole defence at times today. Some good saves made by Davis though.
-
Was it just me, or was there a lot of hogging of the ball going on today? As in trying to run with it and loosing it rather than making the simple pass. Puncheon was one of the worst offenders in my opinion. Please tell me if I am totally wrong though...

Alistair Darling has proven himself to be his own man in recent months, and has stood up to brown and to be fair has been proven to be right on many issues people doubted him on. This has meant he is basically unsackable at the moment.

Excluding Lab/Lib/Cons what other party would you vote for?

I worry for Barking. The boundaries have been changed in such a way that the BNP's chances are much improved. -
Would you sign Papa Waigo N'Diaye on a permanent basis?

To be honest, most footballers playing at a high level have a bit of an ego. You have to have one really to have the confidence to make it at such a high level. -
Very unsmug thread for those STILL waiting for tickets

How the hell does that happen?! It didn't even get lost then... must have circled around within the system for a while. -
I think the BNP might get Barking... but I doubt it, though of course the boundary changes in that constituency mean that it is more likely they will get that seat. The idea of Nick Griffin MP MEP, scares me a little bit. UKIP may get in in Buckingham, depends on the next 4 weeks to be honest, but apart from that, I think they will just have the effect of there being more Labour and/or Lib Dem seats, as they will just nick Tory voters.

And the conservatives who voted for the war. It never would have happened if the conservatives hadn't agreed with it because there were so many Labour rebels. -
11 points is 4 wins.
-
How do you know this? What's your source and where did the person who started this thread hear this from?
-
**** sake, a draw would be alright tonight tbh, if hudders win, I think it is over.

We have Charlton next

Let's hope Oldham are on good form, except when they play us, as they are a common team in all of the teams fixtures, bar Colchester.

It worries me how many BNP supporters there are these days, I read their website yesterday and it just made me angry, especially the sympathetic article about Terreblanche. -
I was 4 when Labour came to power, so I too don't really know any different. However, I don't give a crap how 'bad' Labour is, David Cameron has no substance, and for the reasons I said in my last post, I never want him or Osbourne(particularly Osbourne) in power. To be honest, if you want REAL change from the status quo, vote Lib Dems or Greens or another party that isn't Labour or Conservatives. Labservatives have been in power for way too long if you want to look at it from that view.
