well i guess some will be happy that Mane is benched. I really hope Pelle rams the criticism he gets firmly down the throats of those having a go at him...much like Yoshida did last week. Thats as strong a bench as i've seen for a long time...Mane, Austin and Tadic would be most managers first choice players.

I know VW is not flavour of the month with many on here and some are very quick to say we would be better off without him (and i'm first to admitt i have previously said the same myself)....however on his day he is a top enforcer that has had many opposition midfields running scared. To say we won't miss him is silly, he is a class enforcer....I like Romeu and hope he fills VW boots...without the sendings off!

I cannot believe the club are not going to appeal this....it was never a red card in first place!

Pelle is short of match practise and thats why he looks awful.....yes we look poor with him in the team right now and its a gamble playing a player lacking match fitness but Austin hasnt got 90 minutes in him.

except for when they play us i really like Bournemouth, hope they stuff the crap down the road

Koeman was at the midweek U21 game!....not sure how many so far he has attended but no doubt he was checking on Fraser and hoping there might be be an u**** diamond amongst the current crop of U21's. Now i'm as hard core Saints as it gets but i'm honest enough to see and say we do not have anyone who could make a difference to the first team. Young Harrison Read and Matt Target are the only ones that i would consider as possible first team squad players. We need to buy a quality striker because i honestly cannot see Seager or Gallagher making the step up and those shouting their names for them to play i can only assume have not seen them play and shout out of desperation. I cant believe that Koeman would delibaretly ignore the U21 setup but rather he has seen whats on offer at present and is honest enough to say the conveyor belt has stopped.....at this present time.

I watched the U21'S cup game against Chelsea mid week and there was not a single player apart from Harrison Reed that i would have near the first team. Chelsea youngsters completely outplayed them and we got very lucky with a huge ammount of help from our FIRST Team goalkeeper. RK was correct in what he said. The next batch are not up to it at present.

one game i can totally relax about, not in the slightest bit interested in the Cup unless we reach the the last 8 then i will care if we win or not. The league is our priority and we have two massive home games coming up that we NEED TO WIN.

Is Koeman making a point to the board???....release the purse strings. I would not be surprised if he thought lose this one and the board will really be under pressure....Koeman has nothing to lose....I honestly dont think we are about to sack him....its the board thats looking stupid.....Koeman will argue they sold his best players from under him and he has done best with what he has considering there are probably 3/4 that dont want to be there!

why do we seem to get players who think they can do what they like. These young men are paid a kings ransom to play football.....you would have thought they would be grateful and at least bloody well turn up in time for training, team meetings etc....so much for the magical black box doing its job!

I'm fast starting to hate Wanyama and just want us to get rid of him as quickly as possible. He reminds me of Kenwyne Jones a sulking stomping his feet baby who believes he is better than he really is and deserves to move to a so called bigger club exactly when he wants. Personally i think Arsenal will destroy us and Wanyama will not up for for putting in a performance. I feel sorry for the fans that are going to waste their money going to this game and more importantly wasting precious family time at this time of year because of the ridiculous timing of this game!!!

I've never thought we were in any danger of being dragged into a relegation battle but as the loses start to build up confidence goes and the players become more nervous. Koeman is quite right to recognise we are very close to being dragged into a relegation scrap.....too good???.....i bet Chelsea fans never thought their multi million pound team would be 1 point off a relagation place just before Xmas.

Anyone that watched the Leicester v Chelsea game would have seen that something was not right. Eden Hazzard last year almost unplayable at times could not wait to get off the pitch.....injured my arse....there was nothing in the tackle or the way he landed that would have caused a player to leave the field injured. If i'm still playing at 51 and getting wacked from challenges and playing on then i'm bloody certain a young Premiership player can get up and carry on playing from a light hearted nudge!!!!........Mourinho lost the players with his bizzare behaviour i have absolutely no doubt....in my opinion he only lasted this long because of what he has previously achieved.

utterly and totally ashamed tonight

must admitt i am not confident about tonight.....the last home game against Stoke is a very bad recent memory that i just cannot shift. Too many players looked disinterested and again on Saturday we were dire for the first 20/25 minutes and City could and should have been out of sight. Start like that again tonight and the game will be all over by the 25 minute mark!
