Forget the economics of owning Wrexham compared to Saints as you’re right. I don’t live far from Wrexham and it is an area of deep poverty with few jobs and little going for it. The football club and what they have done has breathed new life into the city. It is what football is about or should I say used to be and should be about. It’s generated money, jobs, hope and above all a feel good factor. I’d take that in a heartbeat and whilst I don’t want them to better us I wish them well for what it’s giving.

Maybe I’m missing something. Losing AA in this window and not adequately replacing him could be catastrophic. Think what you like of him but he’s bagged 11 goals already and is the league’s top scorer. I’m not his biggest fan and yes move in the summer but now is not the time

What disappoints me is the interviewer. TE’s answers open up the opportunity to be more probing and direct in his questions. He doesn’t tailor it to what’s being said and appears to just ask scripted questions. At one point TE says ‘we’re just talking about the same things’………he completely let him off the hook and should have gone for the jugular.

Absolutely top pro. I don’t know what if anything went on with Charlie Taylor but from what I’ve heard and seeing him in the Burnley documentary he was another good professional. Personally I can’t believe we kept Manning over him.

Yeah just listened to it, thanks for posting. Some great points and observations. What I’d like to see though is AB and AH going into a presser and absolutely giving it to TE. They know the issues and need to start worrying less about whether the club may ban them. I remember the Scottish press giving RM absolute pelters ………basically doing their job

Of the ‘decent’ players it’s more a case of who will want to stay. We’re about to enter a period of mid Championship obscurity for a number of years. Not much quality will cross the line at SMS and if it does it’ll be sold.

Me too. I’m a regular, or was. Simply not throwing my time and money at them anymore. If we were entertaining and the team were giving 100% then different matter, but they’re not. I don’t think I’ve seen such unprofessionalism in 50 years of supporting this club

Spot on Wade. If they can turn a profit on players and make the club live within its means then that’s what matters and will make them richer. We, the fans are the only ones truly invested.

How about this for a gamble……….we bring him back for a minimal amount. He’ll happily return and after the Chelsea debacle he’ll be too scared to leave again. He remains a Saint ala MLT and turns into a legend……or is that too big a gamble?!
