Didn't mean to offend Nick, I know you are a keen fan as much as the rest of us. I just want to harness this widespread fury at Wilde's actions - or sometimes lack of them - that are acting as a blanket that suffocates our club to death slowly an painfully - into action. I believe a total boycott for the Swansea game is the best way but the march - if it focuses on Wilde and Askham, not just Rupert Lowe, could be very effective in tandem with it.
-
In which case John, join us in boycotting the Swansea game. I agree that Wilde and Askham should be the focus of the march and protests outside SMS, Lowe is almost a side issue at 5.5% share and he pops up on far too many posts. Wilde could remove Lowe today if he wished to. Wilde needs to be held to account for the mess since 2006 - although the slide began well before that - and a totally empty SMS bar a small pocket of Swansea fans would do it. Imagine the reporter on Soccer Saturday on Sky with an empty stadium and echoing sounds behind them. That would say to Wilde "time to go" more effectively than confronting a steward or singing a song.

Nick Illingsworth on SSN - wouldn't be surprised if Hoddle returns
saint1977 replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Thanks Robbie and well done to Nick Illingsworth, I retract my criticisms above. I still think there is no chance of Hoddle returning but it's good to hear the truth from Nick - Lowe's financial mismanagement has been just as culpable as Wilde's and Hone's despite excuses from a very small band of Lowe supporters. Wilde and Lowe are on very borrowed time, a total boycott for the Swansea game and a healthy turnout for the march might even be enough to make Wilde and Askham **** their pants. -
You'll be hard pushed to find any now! Perhaps Alain Perrin will stick up for Wilde - skate username anyway - and Nick H and FC - much as I respect them - will probably sit on the fence although this turmoil might actually tip FC our way. Adrian, Lordswood and others have joined us in wanting true change, welcome aboard lads. Perhaps this is the boiling point where the fans finally unite and we really might be able to get our club back, not the Wilde lies from 2006. It might not ever be the shiny PL club that it was again but if we don't get shot of Wilde, Lowe and Askham and Guy's bum chums ASAP, there probably won't even be an SFC to save in June 2009.

Totally agree, Lowe is a straw dog at 5.5%. Let's be ruthless and nail these cvunts. No true Saints fan should step inside that stadium for the Swansea game. I can't sit there an barrack a young team and I know most of you feel the same so let's make 30000 empty red seats do the talking. If we are outside on a march with coffins and banners, imagine the impact. Imagine the media coverage of the big, empty stadium. Wilde and Lowe would be ruined and there would no way back for them after that. -
Wotte recommended by Wigley - two Rupert Lowe disasters for the price of one.

Don't dispute that, which made the Doncaster performance with our "players" bottling 50/50s and not giving a toss all the more galling. Still, a lot of them are at an impressionable age so with influences like that in the dressing room, I'm not surprised they are not focused. JP wasn't the right man for the scenario but I think he gave them a least a little focus. Now this other guy - not Wotte - can really run the show and I predict that we won't win another game this season. JP is well out of the club. Wilde and Lowe have such a poor reputation that I don't think a half-decent manager would touch the job now. -

So would I TDD but let's be honest, there's more chance of Roman Abramovich saying "I'm bored of Chelsea, I need somewhere to park my yacht and I'll buy SFC whilst I'm there and put in £500m with no strings". Neither will happen. Either we can get a last ditch buyer and Lowe and Wilde take a big loss on their shares or we go into a VA and those two try to pick it up for peanuts. Look at Wotte's record, it's littered with relegation, even an administration, and it doesn't even look as if he'll really be in charge. -

How could we afford him? We've got no players and if you read the thread on Lowe's Dutch "guru", Hoddle would be insane to give up Spain for this mess. Can't imagine Glenn would approve of some of the alleged goings on by said guru in the dressing room either being a committed Christian. -

Nick doesn't know what he's talking about. Hoddle is really enjoying his venture in Spain and I wouldn't touch that job with a barge pole. I used to think Nick Illingsworth had a backbone, drop the neutral stuff Nick and get back to demonstrating with your fellow fans to get rid of Wilde, Lowe, Askham et al. If you can't, do the honourable thing and step down as a fans' spokesperson for someone who will stand up for us. -
NO! Wotte is Lowe and Wilde's puppet and is fair game along with the rest. The fans can smell blood from the board. We should not resort to violence but any other non-violent or non-criminal means are fine. We need to be ruthless as a fanbase, leave SMS totally empty for Swansea, turn out in numbers for the march and then a demo outside SMS afterwards that will hark back to the Branfoot era. We got rid of him, we can get rid of these as well but we have to stick together.
-
Sorry but I disagree on Wotte - he is to be given NO time whatsoever, he's another Lowe patsy and has stabbed his countryman in the back as well. Wotte out, Wilde out, Lowe out, Askham out, Richards out, Withers OUT. Out, out, out!
-
Even an experienced, decent set of players would struggle with this turmoil, let alone raw, green kids. Forget about the results now, it's League 1 next year, just a question of whether we start on -15 or not. Getting Wilde and Lowe out is all that matters for the rest of the season.
-
Askham and Richards are not fans and have made a lot of money out of the club via their grubby dealings in the 1990s. Don't expect any favours from them.

That's OK, Wilde, Askham, Richards and Withers will do just as well as our targets. -
JP is a decent bloke that probably wonders what he was doing in the summer. I don't think he blames the fans, that's poor journalism trying to stoke a fire. Nevertheless, watch Rupert's brown nosers on here try and blame the fans!
-
All the best Jan, qualities such as honesty and being a gent are out of place at Mike Wilde and Rupert Lowe's SFC. You didn't succeed on the pitch but not even Mourinho could get home win working for those 2 imbeciles. Keep your chin up, SFC is an awful mess and you are best off out of it and should never have been sucked into it in the first place. If either of the two cheap spivs who brought you in had any integrity they'd resign but Wilde needs shooting and Rupert's gone into hiding.
-
Have a proper look at Wotte's record - it's a mixture of relegation and even some administration thrown in! Seriously, Wilde and Lowe are useless although I've a feeling this may have been more Wilde than Lowe for once.
-
Sadly I think he will do worse Adrian, the odd flukey win will cease. The club is rotten to the core and I dread to think what's going to follow. I certainly don't think the Swansea game is going to have a better atmosphere than Doncaster unless Saints can somehow scrape a win at Carrow, our traditional bogey ground, in fact it could be even worse.
-
Yes, like taking a club in Holland into administration! Funny there was no mention of that on the OS.
-
Totally agree - I am likely to join the march after being unsure but a boycott with 6000 gates should finish Lowe off. The board members who agreed this should be banned from SMS for life when Lowe is gone. They should have told Rupert "you're going with him" but they are weak men - Wilde and co. Don't even get me started on David Jonesand his abacus with beads missing.
-
He's not devious, just useless at his job. Unfortunately it happens to be SFC who we all support.

Our results were also better from November 2001-May 2002 when WGS's fitness drive and work on the training ground kicked in and got the club out of the mess appointing Gray had left us in (2nd bottom with a unfit and demotivated squad). Beattie actually went on his scoring streak AFTER his drink-drive conviction and whilst Fab was very creative, Marsden and Bridge also provided Beattie with ammunition from the left as well. As for the academy, that had been barren for many years due to Askham's appalling Chairmanship where the club rotted and MLT saved him - plus Secure Retirement clearing Guy's careless overdraft and WGS stated it was barren when he joined in 2001. Bridge only came through because Jones tried him at LB when Beresford did his knee and before that you have Oakley (that was about a 4 year gap) and then quite a number of years to MLT, Shearer, Kenna, Rod Wallace and that famous group. If you want the best transfer dealer - that's Dave Jones with Richards on a Bosman free, Kachloul on a free, Pahars, Beattie for £1m (Dave's son had been in Blackburn's youth team with him), Tessem for not very much - the list goes on. He's also bought wonderfully at Cardiff. Dave's reading of a football match were nowhere as good as Hoddle or WGS which has been why he's never quite kicked on to join one of the big PL clubs but if you combined the attributes, you would have a manager that would never join SFC in the first place!

Sadly we don't have a squad that can keep us up, they are too raw to be professional yet. Even when the Branfoot protests were at their height, I don't think the players were at that time in the early 90s were particularly affected by it but this lot aren't good enough yet for the CCC anyway. Gobern and Mills have much promise but ought to be playing U19 football and Lallana has a lot of ability, albeit it's not being harnassed as well as it should be but better coaching would draw it out. The manager, coaches and players aren't CCC standard in summary - what have we got to lose? -
How many home games will we have won by the end of the season?
saint1977 replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
I reckon we'll win 1 more at home, which is obviously not enough.
