Demonstration for Swansea game- Time and place!!
saint1977 replied to scott_saints's topic in The Saints
Answer: we at least get a CEO that understands a bit more about the industry and doesn't surround himself with some very odd people - see the Kim thread. It might reduce the temperature at the club just slightly so that there is real focus on what needs to be done to save the club yet keep it competitive. That may mean Wilde and Crouch sitting around a table and acting like grown-ups or there may be someone else that can help. -
To be fair to Ron and Duncan, their info is likely to be from club employees. Given the bullying and appalling management culture of single-cell morons we've employed in the top roles since 2004, any hint that they are the source of a media story probably means not only dismissal - in spite of whistleblowing laws - but litigation as well. The current regime at SFC is not formed from pleasant human beings so you can understand why Duncan and Ron's sources have to be careful. No offence meant WSS, I like you as a poster but do keep posting what you can find out Duncan and Ron as it's the only way we find anything out when the OS is full of bull.

"Swing Lowe" "We're not Wilde about Mike" "We're not fickle, we just don't like you" "You Wotte?" "Duck Off Lowe" "Guy Askham is scum"
-
I don't like Lowe and want him gone ASAP but for me the real evil is underneath and that is Guy Askham. A lot of the older fans know what Askham, Richards, Wiseman (he might have switched sides but he's still a dodgy man) got up to and it was like a Freemasons club on the board in the early-mid 90s. If we don't drive Guy out of the club for good - unless he drops off his perch first - we will just end up with another less obnoxious variant of Lowe fronting up for Askham and we musn't forget Withers either. Break Askham's resolve, make him run and Wilde is left very exposed.
-
Can't think Crouch would have agreed to Wotte but who knows. Rupert is on thin ice.
-
Don't forget Lowe's 1997 classic at a fan forum "we could be bigger than Manchester United". Right now, the fans' club, FC Manchester are whatever it's called, has more prospects!
-
As ever with SFC, what happens on the pitch is only ever - well, the tip of the iceberg.

Look at the share breakdown son. Lowe owns less than 6% so it isn't HIS CLUB to sell. If it's anybody's it's Wilde's but he can't act entirely on his own either. Who's looking dumb now? I've got friends in London in the PR industry and they'd eat you for breakfast. At least if Rupert must waste money on this, can he at least hire someone half-decent? -
I thought Cowen came in once a fortnight as a consultant and went to the odd game in Lowe's absence? I wonder how much this "Kim" character is actually pulling the strings. Anyone who shares a name with a notorious North Korean dictator can't be good!

OS Confirmed Michael Svennson - New Assistant Coach
saint1977 replied to steadyeddie's topic in The Saints
Absolutely nothing. Check the postings Manji. No criticism of MS at all, in fact, I've just named him one of our greatest ever CBs. Plenty of criticism of a regime that 99% of fans want gone. Saints need an experienced British manager in this situation, not an army of incompetent Lowe clones. -
Give it a few beers - it won't be me as I'm not a violent person - but someone will. Wilde has to be a walking target if enters SMS in the near future. By all accounts he copped a fair bit of stick in the Itchen and that was BEFORE it really got nasty at the Donny game.

Have to sadly agree although Killer was one of my all-time favourite Saints players and in that position only Ken Monkou, Claus and Mark Wright (pre-tantrums when he wanted to take Maxwell's dodgy money at Derby) come close. I just can't slag off Killer. However, the only way Gorre, Wotte and Lowe's dodgy guru will make decent coaches is if National Express punch their teeth out, use their arses as luggage storage and install 50 seats. -
I reckon 2-3 more defeats and you'll be right Lordswood. I heard as far back as the autumn that if we were cut adrift at any stage admin was on the cards. Still, we could at least have picked Hockaday for a cheap option and given ourselves at least a slim chance. This will push us into a VA even faster.
-
We still go for the throat, we've had 6 fluke wins and a lot of ****e inbetween. Moreover, the club is such a basketcase, it cannot be doing the young players a lot of good with the behind the scenes antics.
-
On South Today it said "until the end of the season" but that's how long Wotte's contract was anyway and I doubt if he's getting much more money for stepping up. So possible that he many be around even less long than JP.
-
Be interesting to hear Nick's view. Duncan and others have intimated that Wotte is not Mr Popular amongst players and particularly the staff.
-
Just when you the club can't get any more strange, it does! You'd have thought Wotte would have been running the game. Perhaps either Lowe or Wilde made a summary decision without communicating it to the other.

Nick Illingsworth on SSN - wouldn't be surprised if Hoddle returns
saint1977 replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I'm amazed that Hoddle hasn't complained to the Police about Dalek stalking him yet. -
Sad about Svensson but inevitable. Still, he was one of the best CBs in the PL in 02/03 and 03/04 IMO, sickeningly that knee injury happened warming up at Farton Rust Bowl as well! Interesting that JP was charge of that game though.
-
Totally agree on Askham Nick. He is grubby, weak man and the reverse takeover confirmed it. Branfoot was his boy and he (Askham) really dug his heels in there until a mixture of boycotts and near-riots - the atmosphere at the Port Vale Cup game was really volatile and almost on a par with last week. He was lost and had to call in LM to pull him through the mess he'd created. Askham could topple Lowe but trouble is Nick, Lowe makes poor decisions at the shop window of SFC but we'd still be stuck with Wilde even if Lowe went and Askham "stepped back". Wilde is even weaker than Askham and IMO, should be our real target. Wilde is the key to what happens.
-
Top man, I wish Wilde had never bought a single share in our one-proud club.
-
Trouble is John, Blackpool murdered us second half - Davis made 2 of the best saves I've ever seen at SMS and they had 2 goals disallowed that were borderline. Granted, McG nearly grabbed what would have been daylight robbery at the end when he hit the woodwork but you are right to highlight it as a key turning point. That said, I think the board with it's severe lack of football knowledge, thought that these kids could learn on the job in the CCC which was stupidly naive. As in any job, you an only grow ito it if you have the attributes and even then you need to be ready as well. One day hopefully John, even if there is much more pain to endure, we can all be united as a fanbase again like we were in campaiging for Stoneham and SMS and feel a common identity as Saints fans. Staying in the PL on 15k gates meant so much to us and I defended us to anyone who sneered or slagged us off - which the likes of Rodney Dickhead Marsh often did. Now, that spirit and togetherness is long gone but hopefully not forever.

saint1977 replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Spot on, let's move on from the Hoddle idea. Nice idea but a pipe dream and not going to happen. -
You are right but if we can minimise the REAL gate to 5-6000 - the STs have already spent their money - what a message it would send. We've tried everything else to shift Askham and co. I remember what did for Branfoot in the end - that 9000 - and it was less than that on the night I reckon - V Ipswich.
-
A proper boycott of the Swansea game might force Mike Wilde's hand though Ron. Seriously, Wilde is going to kill our club very shortly, have you read the thread about Lowe's "guru"? If I was some of these young player's parents, I'd be on the phone to their agents ensuring they got a move straight away, even if it meant dropping a division - SFC are going to anyway. The club's board is as rotten as Robert Chase was at Norwich and Bill Archer and David Bellotti were at Brighton and I will no longer subsidise such a slide.
