Can see this as a large hoarding on the Itchen Stand entrance near the megastore - with a large picture of Redmond looking miserable or Les looking mean
-
Hello Les, any more news on incoming transfers?
-
If we start sitting back, a few thousand fans singing ‘Time to go for Pellegrino’ should ratchet up the pressure. He’s so mentally weak I think as a crowd our reactions en masses can actually have an influence. Seeing as Les isn’t going to sack him we are better off trying something
-
Here’s the fan that probably thought Branfoot was doing a great job too. Hey, every club and every village has them
-
Wednesday night has to be the crowd and players united and if Pellegrino s hits the bed again he has to stopped and throughly undermined. Forget OWTS, the second half needs to be chanting ‘attack’, thousands of us, push the players forward and override his instructions
-
Quite - can’t see why this is hard to fathom!
-
Who will be the a Michael Dawson?
-
Was directed at Kevin Friend imho

He left cos you're sh*t chant yesterday

Best song I’ve seen Saints sing that wound up the oppo big time was ‘we scored the last goal at Maine Rd’ during City’s first season at the Etihad. City fans were doing throat slit gestures but then this was pre oil money... -

Sorry, hadn’t seen your post, it was sung to them first by Chelsea -

It was first sung to them when they sold Bale, Chelsea iirc first sang it -
Dunno, full house, key game, they'll bring a full allocation and make some noise, should bring the Northam and Itchen/Kingsland North into life.

Agree with you both, been crying out for pace for a long time but with some more experience and quality. I didn't mind MP having a gamble, we know what Redmond can do already and as he's falling out of favour, I'd loan him back to the Championship where he might be more comfortable with the standard and free up a third squad place for a new signing. For me we need a CB with height, a very rapid winger and a centre forward with physical presence. Sign all three and we might have a chance of getting out of trouble. If not, I just can't see it, as positive as yesterday was. Targett out on loan, Redmond needs to do the same and would need to replace Gabbiadini if he leaves. That's without the VVD warchest. Over to you Les. Tick tock.
-
Worth a go as a loan before you buy if we stay up. Won’t suit Claude’s system there but could suit ours. If Gabi leaves, need at least one other major striker signing.
-
Felt for Ryan with no one attacking them, but does emphasise the need for two fresh strikers to come in and reward his efforts
-
Was a meaningless sound bite - Puel was just being a good corporate boy although his loyalty to Les didn’t do him much good. To think Les thought injury hit J Rod and Austin and the less than prolific Long were ample with the volume of games we had last term is astonishing, although less so with the January 2017 window debacle and Caceres it appears less jaw dropping and more the norm.
-
Reed is so complacent/objectives not to spend money probably that this could be true.
-
You just know he won't though. Would involve making a decision/s. MP is an appalling manager but not helped by Les.
-
Dunno about that, at least got into the position to score. Redmond would have never have got there and stood on the D berating a team-mate.
-
Can't fault the effort and midfield worked incredibly hard. Need a new CB - Stephens isn't cut out for it and should be DM, allow Rom and Lemina further forward. Tadic showed what he can do if he's played on the LEFT (in the unlikely event the idiot of a manager ever reads this). Need another 3 or 4 faces quickly though, pace and power to shake things up. Davis has been a great servant but nearly went wrong when he came on after Lemina ran out of petrol. The referee = what the actual fook?
-
He tries the difficult though, the rest of the squad bar Tadic when we actually play him on the left are sideways and backwards.
-
I agree, pleased with the effort but does feel like we should have won. Giving Kane that easy a header so soon after we scored was idiotic.
-
Seen us play a lot worse this season tbf. Not great but can't fault the effort. Amazing that MP was quality CB yet we are so poor defensively. What does he do in training all week? Pick his nose?
